Fosselman's Ice Cream
In business since 1919, the third generation of this family-owned business is running the shop now. Featuring 40 flavors of ice cream, Fosselman's Ice Cream parlor is a regular hang out for many. The exotic Mango and Green Tea flavors are favorites, along with scoops of the more traditional Rocky Road, Cookies 'N' Cream and Cappuccino. Check website for further details.
This is the shiznit of ice cream but also pretty expensive. but if your rolling in the dough this is the place to take yourself and the little ones for a treat. In an old fashion parlor where they make it in the back and sell it to you fresh.
My husband and I went to Fosselman's where we both ordered chocolate milk shakes. Not hard to mess up! The girl that made my shake was wonderful, but my husband's shake was make by a man that I believe was the owner and it was not good. He made his shake with vanilla ice cream while mine was made with CHOCOLATE ice cream. Who would have thought?! Additionally, they only take cash and charge for the smallest things, like extra spoons! I will not go back!
I've been going to this ice cream shop ever since I can remember (Im 29) and it's the best ice cream u can ever eat. i live east la and i make the drive because that's the only ice cream that i have in my home. try it it's the best...
love the ice cream. service, not so much. the main guy there never smiles and always looks like I'm bothering him. 3rd generation ice cream huh? Looks like someone didn't want to inherit the family biz.
Fosselman's has been in business for over 50 years - and its no wonder! You can't beat the product or the service! The atmosphere is upbeat - and there is so much to choose from. Hot Fudge sundaes, banana splits, malts (using real malt), shakes, cones....you name it! A real treat and reasonably priced.
My wife and I have been coming here since we were high school sweethearts back in the 80's. The icecream is outstanding and has not changed one bit. The only thing that has changed is the fact that it's pretty crowded most of the time, but well worth the wait. We like to order the two-scoop sundaes...they have great hot fudge too!
A friend took me here and it was a little out of the way for us. The flavor selection was good-- I had two scoops and it was about $5. (I think.) It's a different kind of place where you can sit down instead of feeling rushed out like at BR.
IT WAS GREAT!! Ice cream was a little expensive but well worth it! They give you your money's worth! I recommed brownie sundae, brownie was excellent. They even sell candy there. Ice cream is homemade, very cozy perfect for first dates.
The most overrated ice cream in Los Angeles. The ice cream for the most part has no flavor and the prices are a little too high for this bland...err...I mean for this brand of ice cream. The fact that this place has a picture of Warren Harding or someone hanging on the wall and no bathrooms is disgusting. Also, they charge extra for spoons and napkins. The service is horrible and I must say the attitude of the workers changes a bit when people of a certain color walk through the door. Save your time and money and go to Rite-Aid for some cheap, great tasting ice cream.
