Havana meets Madrid at Coco Palm, the beautiful hilltop restaurant overlooking the San Gabriel Valley. Begin your evening with a Mojito or Sangria in the lounge, and then enjoy dinner while listening to our house music in the elegant restaurant, specializing in traditional Spanish and Cuban cuisine. Don't miss the Paelia Valencia or the House Steak, a 56oz bone-in rib chop for sharing. A variety of fresh seafood is available daily - from lobster and shrimp to fresh salmon in Albarino wine sauce or loin of Sea Bass in a Mango-miso sauce. Afterwards, show your moves in the Coco Room where every Friday we offer free salsa lessons, followed by a live twelve-piece salsa band. On Sundays we offer a spectacular all-you-can-eat Champagne Brunch, and an all-you-can-eat lunch is served daily. Valet Parking is mandatory on most nights, $5/vehicle.
I had my wedding at the CoCo Palm and highly regret it. The staff was nice; they made the wedding look beautiful and the view from the restaurant is amazing. But once you pay them and your event is over, they care don t care at all about you. At the end of my wedding we all cleaned up. I left my purse on the table while I cleaned up trash. I grabbed my wedding presents and brought them to the car. I left the restaurant, only to realize I did not have my purse with me so in less than 40 minutes, I went back. All the linens were cleaned and my purse was NOWHERE in sight. I asked the manager Victor if anyone turned anything in and he said NO . I went outside to cry because I had everything in there: $600, my camera, my phone, my music player, jewelry, my credit cards, my license and CA ID. The purse itself was a gift. I called my phone hoping maybe someone picked it up and the manager picked up (REMEMBER HOW HE SAID NO ONE TURNED ANYTHING IN?!) I asked him who turned in the phone as it was in the purse and the purse was sealed shut and he said he didn t know and couldn t check the cameras because he needed to speak with the owner. I call the owner Tony the next day and he tells me non of the cameras work and no one admitted to turning in the phone so it MAGICALLY appeared in their office. Then the catering specialist Janet came up to me and tried to tell me that maybe my FAMILY took it even though I told them at least 40 times that my husband and I were the last ones to leave. It s been 1 month since the event. I called the manager again and he said no one turned anything and I m free to say whatever I want about the restaurant. He said that he can t deny that his staff did not admit to the crime but that he can t do anything about it. So here I am, letting EVERYONE know: The staff is DISHONEST, COLD, and they DO NOT CARE. Don t go here if you dont want everything to be stolen from you by heartless people on your own wedding day.
I agree with the people who said not to have their wedding here. They sold us big time and the food was amazing and our choice of food and salad is not what was served. We were so upset, but management did nothing about it. Our salad was suppose to have Mango in it and the excuse they used is it was out of season. Bullshit. It wasn't out of season because 2 weeks piror to our wedding our friends ate there and had the same salad we were to be served and it had mango. The service sucked!
DO NOT HAVE YOUR WEDDING RECEPTION HERE!!!
This place is horrible, dont be fooled by how nice they are when you go to visit or when they try to sell you a wedding package. As soon as you write that check...the quality of service drops big time!!! We paid 16k for a wedding to be served cold food that tasted horrible. An open bar of draft beer that ran out of beer, to which they began charging guests for bottle beer...dont bother talking to the management or wedding coord. they dont care..they already got your money...your better off having your reception at denny's...TRUST US....SAVE YOUR MONEY, TIME AND EFFORT...go somewhere else for your special moment!!!
i took my girlfriend there for her birthday i had been there once before and thought it would be a good place to take her nice ambiance and romantic scenery that part was great but the food and the service not so much the wait staff was rude and the food was over priced dont get me wrong i have no problem paying a premium for a premium steak but what they served me was not even up to black angus standards her dish was alittle bit better but not by much i will not be going there again
Absolutely beautiful. I had such a good experience. My husband and I spent our Valentine's there and I couldn't have asked for a more romantic place. The setting was beautiful, the food was delicious, the service was great and the view overlooking the city was wonder. Yari More and his orchestra played that night and they were awesome! I will definitely be back!
Who would have thought you could find authentic Cuban cooking on a hill above the San Bernardino Freeway in Pomona? Not only does CocoPalm offer an expansive menu of Cuban and Spanish dishes, but it does it in style. Just past a grand entrance---complete with elaborate fountains and a tropical bird aviary---is a lively bar, nightclub and series of dining areas, all with panoramic views of the Pomona Valley (which is, by night, surprisingly romantic). The mojitos may be weak, but they are refreshing pairings with empanadas, Cuban tamales or croquetas de jamón. Entrées include classics like ropa vieja, mojo-marinated lechón asado, garlicky roasted chicken, and Spanish paella. Portions are generous and the cooking is generally well executed. The wine list offers a global selection, including some decent Spanish labels, and dessert options range from mango mousse to dulce de leche-filled churros to bread pudding. A lounge singer belts out romantic Cuban ballads as the black beans and maduros are passed around the table.
