We had a great meal at Zen Buffet. The service and servers were very attentive and worked hard to make us feel welcome etc. However when I asked for information about booking a party the lady who was name Michelle was not very helpful. It was hard to understand her and she seemed very not interested in helping us and seemed more interested in shouting at the employees who as I said were working hard. We did not care for her and not a good advertisement for business. Mark and Blakna

Food looks good, but prepare for diahrea. We bowel 5 times in 3 hours, and the staffs was rude to children and seniors. Also, there was a fly flying and hair on one of our dishes.

We were visiting from Las Vegas & San Francisco and have been to a lot of Asian seafood buffets around the country. We had dinner on a Sunday night and the place was packed with mostly large tables of families celebrating birthdays. The restaurant did a great job of seating smaller tables as soon as possible and keeping the larger tables waiting until a large table became available. We were shown to our table by the restaurant manager, who was very courteous and extremely accommodating. Food-wise, this place exceeded our expectations! It was quite a surprise! The food tastes better than Todai, but the sushi selection is not as extensive. Everything is delicious and very fresh, especially the sauteed fish filet. They keep the portions small in the steam tables so that it's always fresh and not sitting around getting overcooked or dried out like at other buffets. We really loved the authentic Asian desserts like warm milk with "snow" wood ear fungus. And the apple-pears with mandarin oranges! WOW! My dad noticed that they have crab legs, but we found that the tray was of course, empty. The manager came up to us and asked if he could help us find something. We asked if they had any crab legs left. He said that they should be refilling the tray soon and that we should just wait a few more minutes. So we went to get another item while we were waiting. When I turned around, I noticed that 3 people were standing over the empty crab legs tray and as soon as the server came out to refill the tray, they snatched every last crab leg until the tray was empty! It's unbelievable how greedy and rude people are when it comes to food. It's also those same people who waste food! The manager came up to us and asked if we got any of the crab legs. When I told him what had happened, he told us to just wait a moment and he would be right back. He rushed into the kitchen and within minutes, came back out with a server with a small tray of crab legs just for us! He personally handed the pair of tongs to my dad! It was awesome! The service was as good as expected. I mean, do you really expect the staff to stand and chat with you when everyone there is in a feeding frenzy? (No) They promptly came to remove dishes. They asked if we needed a refill of tea. They brought extra napkins. For an Asian seafood buffet, that's good service! But the manager was the one who really made our experience great. If you're look for ambiance, this place isn't for you. But if you want really good food and a decent buffet price, this is the place! The "very good" rating is for the food and service! We'll definitely be back!

If you want to ENJOY a family dinner with your kids, don't go over there because it is SO LOUD and noisy everywhere. Their birthday parties on the weekend are all over the place with LOUD birthday music and people serving cakes right in the middle of the lane where it meant for for walking traffic. You can't get food without almost running into people celebrating birthday (screaming as loud as they can) who are so ignorance of other guests even exist! To top that, they give priority to big parties over small parties: Several group of people who came 20 minutes behind me got their table first because they have more people. Why ??? They can't split any of those separable tables apart? Or are they simply idiots with no common sense and the slightest of courtesy to their smaller party guests?

I've been to this place 3 times because my friends wanted to go. But on my own I would never choose this place even with the coupons that they send out. There is never enough crab legs because only a small tray of crab legs is brought out at one time and people usually line up to wait for it. The first 3 people in line usually pile their plates high with the crab legs and don't leave any for the rest. People can get so barbaric when fighting for the crab legs. The buffet doesn't do anything about this. Also, the food has too much MSG, which I am allergic to. The service is not that great either. I would rather pay more for a more pleasant experience. I would discourage anyone from going here.

food is good. services are so-so because the waiters/waitresses are not very friendly. i'm a slow eater so i'm usually there for a while. one of the waitresses made a comment in mandarin (i only understand a little) about us being there forever to another waitress when we finally finish and leave. and the worst part is (i'm sure you all seen this if you've been there) how people fight for the crab legs as if they have never eat crab before. i see this as a battlefield more than a buffet. i was embarrassed even by standing around those people.

The best thing about Zen buffet is the selection of Chinese/Japanese food and freshly made sushi. They always have a lot of things I like and a few "weird" things like baby octopus and chicken feet. It's a perfect restaurant for families with children, also perfect for sports teams with big appetites (like my husband and his buddies). They just added a bunch of big screen tvs around the restaurant but I have no idea why--the only thing they show on them is some type of Asian commercials. What is the manager thinking? Regarding service, here's the low point. They are not good with getting refills, which is pretty much all they have to do! The servers look unhappy, too, which makes me feel a little uncomfortable. Overall, my family loves it and we go about once a month to stuff our faces.

Horrible service! I just ran over there for the 1st time to pick up an order and the people were so horrible to me. The lady didn't speak english very well and i kept trying to explain what I was looking for. The lady laughed at me, made me feel terrible, and got her coworker to laugh at me too. It was a horrible, uncomfortable mess.
