I have been going to Aladdin for quite some time now. The first time was after seeing an ad coupon in a magazine. The coupon was for 1 dollar off the lunch buffet for the entire party. At the end of the meal when we tried to redeem the coupon and the waitress told us the coupon would only be good toward 1 person out of the entire party!? I thought that was somewhat deceitful but was not ready to fight over 1 dollar. We also found that they also don't serve sandwiches at dinner time, I think that is outrageous because sandwiches are one of their best specilties. Otherwise, I enjoy going there, they have great babaghanouj and fool moudamas which I love as a vegetarian. My boyfriend used to rate them number 1, better than Zenkou's in Hollywood (now, who does that?)! We'd always go to Aladdin whenever we come this way, but not since we went there one night and found out he could not get his favorite chicken shawarma.
Though lesser known, Aladdin, Jr. is truly one of the best places to dine in the Inland Empire. I am a huge fan of meditteranean cuisine and this restaurant easily tops my list in this category. Tucked away in a rather non-descript shopping center in Pomona, you'll find that the food is an outstanding, colorful and tasteful array of mainly Arabic favorites. Be sure to try their grape leaves and their garlic sauce with bread. Their chicken shishkabobs are so tender and delightful that you'll want to leave some room for them as well (it's easy to fill up on appetizers there).
Aladdin, Jr. offers excellent service and indoor, as well as outdoor patio dining. They are open late on weekends and usually filled with a festive crowd of regulars who love to just hang out at the restaurant eating and laughing with friends. I've heard that they'll even be opening a special area next door for dancing very soon.
The prices are quite affordable as you can easily get a full course meal including drinks and dessert for under $20. For a comfortable atmosphere and great food, Aladdin, Jr. cannot be beat. Don't let the location fool you...Aladdin, Jr. is the place to be!
It has a good review from a food guide. I decided to try it. It is a small place, cozy, and outside seating. Nice in the summer. The food was tasty and healthy size portions. Plus if you have a craving late night, it is open until 2am daily.
