Large, fast and tastythat's what one can say to describe Pho Pasteur. 19 variations of the signature dish are served up speedily. For the uninitiated, pho is a traditional Vietnamese meal, consisting of noodles in chicken or beef broth and garnished with juicy chunks of meat, herbs and spices. Other recommendations include egg and shrimp rolls and Hue Tieu, a hearty pork-and-seafood noodle soup. Don't miss out on the bamboo decor as you click your chopsticks and smack your lips over a steaming bowl. At dessert, a tall glass of tropical fruit shakeavocado, jackfruit or the stinky, yet delicious durianwinds things up nicely. The place is inexpensive, which contributes to the bustling crowds that come here, especially on weekends. Call ahead for restaurant hours.
Not the best Pho in town; however, not too bad. Don t like their customer service. Waiters are not polite and trained. A skinny old man is kind of weird. Tried to challenge customers question. Foods are good, but don t feel comfortable sitting in such a restaurant. Pasture Pho is not the only choice. Pho 79 on Garfield in Alhambra is also a good Pho restaurant.
In my 20 years of eating pho, I will say this is the best Vietmanese Pho restaurant in Los Angeles County. The soup is very tasty, the soup is key to pho food. So far I have not seen any other pho restaurant has come up the same way they prepared their soup. The rice plate were just average. I will strongly recommend this restaurant to all my friends. Service is just OK, better than most of Vietmanese restaurant.
THIS IS HANDS DOWN THE BEST PHO PLACE IN THE SO CAL AREA. I don't know what everyone else is bitching and moaning about, but I have eaten at DOZENS of pho places and this place can't be beat. For TRUE pho lovers go here and you will enjoy. True, shitty service as to be expected at any other Asian restuarant but the pho more than makes up for it.
Awful Pho place to eat, I would not definitely recommended to anyone....crowded, and services are both awful. The PHO soup is very salty..and when I eat there, I had to drink 3-4 cups of water after to heal my thirst......Bad Pho....Would not ever go there again..., even if all PHO restaurants close down in Rosemead.
On July 24th 2007 I ate here and got so violently ill for more than 1 week. It was so bad I had to go to an emergency doctor and get pills and almost an IV (I begged not to have the IV). My boyfriend and the rest of the family (Vietnamese family) who had something other than Pho (we boiled the pho ourselves when we took it home) got violently sick as well. I wont go into the details of the level of sickness and what was happening to our bodies but it was bad enough to be rushed to the ER. DO NOT eat here!!!
