Me and my DP have been going to la vie all almost every month for the past 2 1/2 years now, and we are loyal customers. Everything on the menu is good, but we are partial to the... Escargot to start, fillet mignon for entree and creme brule for dessert.. occasionally they will have prime rib, which is also very yummy... The presentation is good, and the atmosphere is quaint. It's nothing fancy, but the prices are very reasonable... If you plan to go on a holiday, i would recommend to make reservations, since the restaurant is small and seating is very limited.
Wow! Smack dab in the heart of the Chineese community of Alhambra, Monterrey Park and San Gabriel is one of the best French restaurants in Los Angeles. The food is superb and you would never guess from its strip mall location that it would be as good as it really is. The prices aren't cheap, but not outrageous for the quality of food offered. Make reservations because we have seen people turned away. The place is small and fills up quickly.
