Yiannis Greek Restaurant, Claremont

A Claremont Classic! The food at Yiannis cannot be beat -- very authentic and delicious. My daughter begs me to take her there for the lemon soup and the best Gyros outside of Greece.

This is an amazing Greek Restaurant. A true treasure. We took a visiting family member there for our first visit to Yiannis and we had a great time! We tried the flaming cheese appetizer and it was delicious. The food has a great price for all you get. The entrees come with soup, salad and also a small dessert with sherry at the end! Perfect! We ordered the lamb, lemon chicken and they were both also very delicious. One of us also had a bloody mary that was homemade and tasty as well. You definetely have to try this restaurant!

The restaurant is decorated like a typical greek tavern. The time you spend here, you will be taken back to Greece. Enjoy a wonderful time there!

Perhaps it's Greek food in general, but everything served here is completely doused in salt.

The food was mediocre, and would have been passable had it not been for the premium pricing. The atmosphere was dark and musty, with the small dining area feeling more cramped than cosy. My main complaint was the service-- our party of five couldnt get a single refill of water, tea or soda the whole time we were there which was made worse by how slow the service was. For the money and your time you can find much better.
