A+ for effort. Nice little place, service not to die for, but nice enough. Food was nothing but forgettable. We had several of the tapas, sangria, dessert and spanish cofee. Crepas de cangrejo; delicious. Fresas con queso; very good. Datliles con tocino; overcooked dry and burned out. Chorizo was so so. Gambas; so so. Croquetas de pescado; dry just awful. Chuletas de cordero; flavorless. For dessert We had the waitress recommend the best No.1 and No 2 of her choosing, it was very nice, and for the spanish cofee, quite the show, a little strong but OK. Overall a far cry from Cafe Sevilla in Long Beach.
I stumbled on this place three weeks ago and have been seven times. On my first visit, I told the waitress to order for me and keep the food comming. She did and everything was great. The food and the sangria are addicting. If I could get there every single day, I would. The sangria is smooth, the empanadas were different than what I am used to but better than any I have ever had. The lamb chops, chicken skewers, potatoes with spicy sauce, and bacon wrapped dates, are all addictive. This is my new favorite restaurant not only is the food awesome, it is easy on the budget too.
They have some very good tapas in a fun atmosphere. Some nights they have a live guitarist. The quality of some of their tapas seems not to be quite as good as when they first opened, but it's the only place of its kind in the area and makes for an entertaining and flavorful evening especially with a good group of friends. The wait can be long on most nights so order a glass of sangria to help the time pass.
