Went here with a group of 10 friends for a Celebration of one of my friends receiving her Bachelor's Degree from Azusa Pacific. She was also moving out of state and thought Karaoke would be a fun time. The KJ played favortism to her regulars and we sat and sat waiting to be called as her regulars sang rotation and rotation again. I complained to the manager at the end of the night how she had made our entertainment and fun mismal. If you are not a regular or don't know the KJ SKIP THIS PLACE, it will not be enjoyable.
I wanted to say that everytime Ive gone here I had fun. I stopped going because they were closing early because their business got slow. I noticed it was more emtpy the last times I went. Everyone is friendly here. Just wish they'd hold more events. The food is good. Drinks are a little pricey but makes up with the fun when they have it. I think they need a better promoter.
I had a small group of friends there the other day and it turned out great. We hung out in the bar area listening to good music and watching the ball game.The drinks were a little pricey, but everything was great.
On February 28, 2009. I tried to place a simple catering order by phone, but a hot-headed employee who answered the phone was rude and impatient with me. I think he was the manager or an assistant. I tried to explain the order, but he was very chauvinistic with me and called me stressed out woman and raised his voice louder to intimidate me because he did not understand a simple food order, nor did he let me talk. He kept talking over me! I tried to place a simple order for a group of 8, but he was so dense that I had to repeat it many times. Mind you, I was patient although I noticed his condescending behavior. In his insecurities, he kept raising his voice at me. Maybe he does not understand English, but his machismo and RUDE attitude towards women does not belong at any restaurant or here in the United States.
With the poor economy, your restaurant should be doing everything to KEEP customers. No apology or free food will bring me back to your restaurant. I will NO longer place any orders at Acapulco in Azusa, CA and will let my friends and family know what occurred. I used to be a frequent customer for 20 years and never had such a problem, but with the belittling and impatient attitude I received from a short-tempered manager, I will NEVER order from Acapulco's again
I went to the brunch yesterday for the first time in Azusa. I was amazed at the selection of foods, the freshness of everything and the fine service. Our family will make this a regular get together on Sundays. The service was wonderful and friendly! We had the best time!
