The burgers here are really tasty! It's a very busy hot spot in Burbank so the service isn't always great. Definatley nostalgic!

Great Food Besides Burgers! Wanna try something different? Go with their turkey club sandwich combo. Packed with bacon, slices of turkey, leaves of lettuce & mayo on toasted wheat bread, this tasty sandwich is accompanied by french fries and your choice o'drink. Good meal to have in a restaurant with great, nostalgic atmosphere; a drive-thru window; and a weekend car hop accented by Friday classic car cruise nights. A great place to eat. Get there early!

Nostalgic!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/16/08
We've been going here for as long as I can remember. My Mother was a waitress here about 50 years ago-no exageration! It was one of her first jobs & there's a reason why it's still there. The service is super quick & you can always count on the food tasting great. Toluca Lake is such a nice area & I love to go here. Great restaurant to take the family!

Of course the nostalgia is well-documented, but this Big Boy also has GREAT burgers! Have a burger, fries, and a malt... mmmm. Cheap, too.

A Great Place To Eat and Hang out!
Ahhh Yes...Bob's Big Boy. I remember my days as a child (In the 70's) occupying a booth with my family while reading the free Bob's comic book they would hand me. These days can still be enjoyed, minus the free comic book. The Bob's big Boy in Burbank is open 24hrs and can get quite busy around luch and dinner. During those times expect to wait anywhere from 5 - 30 minutes to enjoy the reasonably priced dishes. Here are some of my favorites: BOB's Big Boy Combo: (includes) -Double stacked hamburger with american cheese, special sauce and a frsh bun. -Salad -French Fires Parker's Fried Chicken. -mmm, mmm, good! A must! Chicken Stir Fry -Who would have thought this was good. :) Stay away from: Steak Dinner -Who the heck goes to Bob's for a steak. Salads -Nothing Special but not terrible. Sit out on the Patio during nice weather. Stay away from the restaurant on those rare COLD days, the place can get cold inside. Do check out all the great memorabilia hanging on the walls and take a picture with Bob in front. If you haven't been for a while I would suggest you try it out again. A great place to eat and hang out!

Bob's ROCKS!
By NoneYABusiness!, 1/8/07
I've been going to Bob's Big Boy in Toluca Lake since 1985. I LOVE their food. I've been eating the Big Boy Combo for years. The atmosphere is great but don't go on a weekend unless you want to wait - it is so popular! On Friday nights they have a car hop - car show that is really cool. This is the time when the wait is over an hour.

Be Warned
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/16/06
This place is always packed; it's been around since the 50's so has a loyal following of 3rd and 4th generation families. However this amazes me because - the food is downright awful. It is on par with elementary school cafeteria food and they definitely buy all the food from an industrial food production company - it's not made fresh (except perhaps the tortilla soup, partially anyway). Also people should know that the facility itself seems hazardous as there have been numerous sewage leaks from problems with the old septic/plumbing system (which sits under the parking lot). I've personally witnessed raw sewage leaks, large and small, at this restaurant occurring almost nightly when they start cleanup after the dinner shift (you can observe these leaks from the Starbucks patio). The restaurant recently suffered such a major sewage leak that it completely flooded both the building and the entire parking lot with raw sewage several inches deep - but the manager kept the restaurant open and forced employees to work and serve food in the sewage! Apparently customers think this is just "dirty water" and parked and walked through it. Amazing. Anyway be warned.

Great Los Angeles Landmark!
By Michael, 12/13/06
Bob's Big Boy is a living legend! One of the few places (if not the only one) that still has a car hop! Friday nights at Bob's is incredible with all the classic cars that swarm the parking lot. The food is your typical diner style food with burgers and sandwiches dominating the menu. Expect to pay the typical price range for your plate. They have pretty good service for indoor and outdoor seating. I eat there at least once a month.
