We used to love coming here. The food was great, the portions huge and the prices reasonable. They ve changed the ownership so now they have higher prices, smaller portions, lots of televisions and Russian beer advertisements on the windows....
A little overpriced since the new management took the ownership. Used to be cheaper but the food is unbelievable! My favorite is the rolls royce roll and sexy roll. They also have a lunch special where the rolls royle roll comes with a salad and a mix of sushi for $12.95 which is a good deal for this place.
I will never go ne where else but Shiki's. Ever since I discovered the place I've been a usual. The staff is great, the sushi chefs are awesome, John and Eric are the best. Delicious sushi, large portions. The spicy tuna chunk is the best and you must have the alex roll. I'm there atleast 3 times a week. The place is always packed , so if ur going at night make sure u reserve, even on a weekday. Yummiiiiiiiiiiii, love this place.
Absolute worst sushi I've had in a long time. Almost gagged on 2 out of 3 pieces of fish. the third was a chewy mess. AVOID this place. Sure the portions are huge, but if you're that hungry just go to some buffet somewhere and save a couple bucks. Bad sushi is DANGEROUS!
I was here before and it was OK, but this time was the pits. Server didn't know how to describe the Beverly hills roll so he made something up, and when it arrived it was totally not was he said it was. sauce on the cooked salmon was BAD. I was expecting salmon sushi around a california roll.
I will never go back. Avoid this trap.
The Sushi was pretty good and comes in big portions. Be careful not to order too much, or you will be bringing some sushi home with you. The major letdown for this place is the service. VERY SLOW SERVICE HERE!!!
i went for valentine's day and luckily i had the foresight to make a reservation. i'm not sure if it's like that all the time, but i now have shiki on my speed dial. we ordered a combination plate that came with 6 pieces of sashimi style sushi that included a spicy tuna roll. i got the philly roll and my boyfriend ordered an asahi. the bill was just under 40 bucks. and while that's a little more than i'd like to spend at a sushi place, the portions make it worthwhile. the fish hangs over the sides of the roll of rice, it's like 3 times normal size. the yellowtail was so fresh, buttery almost. the rolls were bulging with fish. normally you get a little piece of cream cheese with a chunk of salmon, but they actually rolled rice with a chunk of cream cheese with chunk salmon over the top. those two dishes were more than we could handle. when you sit, they give you free miso soup and a vegetable condiment that i believe is a korean dish. the restaurant itself is tucked away in the back of a shopping plaza. there is ample free parking. it's casual, but trendy. very cute with festive lights adorning the outdoor heated patio. i believe the dynamite roll is the roll to get. service was a little on the slow side, but it's not to the point where it's irritating. it was a busy night, so i understood. servers are very nice. seating is very limited.
