Viva Fresh Mexican Restaurant, Burbank

I go here every 2 weeks for a group meeting and I am amazed that it shows 5 stars for this place. The service is horrible - not just sometimes but pretty consistently. And I don't find the food to be anything special at all. They often have live music which is kinda fun, but the acoustics are bad so don't come here for an intimate conversation.

I know a lot of people like this place, but our experience there was awful. The service was terrible. From the moment we sat down the waiter made it clear he wasn't interested in serving us, and he didn't. He was leaving the restaurant at the end of his shift and he made it clear serving us was an inconvenience. We had to find him and then ask for every glass of water, every refill of soda, every fork and napkin. The food was miserable, over-cooked and over-priced, almost to the point of being unedible. If we ever go again we'll order a virgin margarita, because the ones we got didn't taste like they had any alcohol in them anyway, so we might as well save the money. Don't plan on parking at the restaurant either, they only have about eight places and they are too crowded. The only thing positive to be said for the place is that there was good music. I might go to hear music again, but I'll never go to eat or drink. The place, for us, was just bad, awful, miserable and we won't be going back anytime soon.

They have delicious Mexican food and Margaritas & Beer for a generous price. However, even tho they have a friendly staff, they seem rushed and never came back to our table ! : (

A great place to eat! The margaritas are good, the staff is friendly (although sometimes aloof), but best of all, you can go in there covered in horse dirt, and no one will bat an eye.

I loved the ambiance. The rustic Mexican vibe makes you feel like you time traveled to old western times. If anyone is looking for a great family dinner, definitely go to Viva La Fresh!

I visited this mexican restaurant last week. We ate great and authentic Mexican food while hearing live music. The people and ambience are one of a kind. The service was also very good. I definetly recommend this restaurant if good food and good music is what your looking for.

I liked the food, #1. Everything on my plate was perfect, including the refried beans, and I am fussy about them. #2, I feel I received good value. The portions were generous. The only negative on my first visit was the table attendant was less than attentive, and it was not that busy.

This restaurant has absolutely no regard for their customers. Their food rating changes as the wind blows. The waiters are never to be seen, you can wait an hour to get a drink, the busboys clean tables about once every two hours. Good Luck finding a clean table. The restrooms are always dirty, they never turn on the air conditioner. The owner shows no respect for the people who come back to their restaurant ONLY for the incredible music by Cody Bryant. Get new management, new servers, new menu and the place might be okay.

Well, only if you physically grab one of the wait staff. But what ROCKS is the music, except that it's country. But when Mark Romano (whose website is suddenly out of action) plays--well, it ROCKS.

Great place! Can beat the prices! Casual and very friendly atmosphere!
