We went with Uncle Mike for his birthday dinner. The service was sloww ! The long island Ice Tea drink I was told it was not was not a pre- mixed,. but was made at the bar from scratch. The Long Island drink was almost to sweet to drink. The food (prime rib) was dry. filet mignon was very good but the veggies were not cooked and hard to cut. The dishes were to large and the food looked very small on the large plates. I could have gone to Las Vegas and came back with change for what I paid at the 94th Aero Squadron. Only had one cook for all the people that were there.
Went there for VDay..they sat us at a table that was full of bread crumbs, I don't think it had been cleaned. Waitress brings the appetizers (Shrimp & Crab Cakes) but no utensils. We order our food and people that had arrived AFTER us were getting their food before us. We ask for bread since we saw everyone that was getting seated was getting bread and for some reason we weren't. The only reason I gave them 2 stars was because the food was good. Later I asked for a spoon and it was dirty...like it still had leftover food from someone else! YES GROSS! At last, there was an dessert to share for 2...tasted like it had been sitting in a freezer for months. Hours later my boyfriend got a stomach ache and got sick. Don;t think I'm ever going back!
The waiter was not in a good mood and not pleasant. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was nice with the fireplaces. The food was mediocre considering the prices. I would not go there again. I left the waiter a 10% tip which was generous considering his service and attitude. He came back asking what was wrong because of the tip and I thought that was rude and told him it was his attitude. He apologized which was a bit late considering it was time to go. Go at your own risk.
I've been a regular customer for over 30 years, and have never been dissapointed. From 2 to 16 for dinner, and 2 to 12 for Sunday brunch it's always been great. Reservations are best for Sunday, and for larger parties for dinner. Prices are reasonable, service is good to great, and this is averaged over a long period. Beware of the pasteries, though. They are so good you want more than one, and that's lots of calories.
Although the service and food could have been a little bit better, the atmosphere, the ambiance of the restaurant is unique, cozy, and pleasant, not to mention exciting for those interested in watching the planes take off and land. It might be more spectacular to watch during the day, although I'm not sure.
went for fathers day brunch, the food was very dry, and overcooked 27.95 a person, for champane brunch, all main dishes no side dishes, also if you wanted a coke or tea instead you paid more. bad service too, not worth it, will never go again
Absolutely terrible. We went there on Easter for their Buffet. It was probably the worst buffet i've ever had. The soda was flat, the so called sushi was warm, and the dessert tasted like card board. I'd suggest finding another place, unless your only goal is to get drunk after work.
