After their remodeling the place it became more attractive. The food is delicious as always.

Great place..... Went here Friday with my cousin who is out of town from LA, and ordered pretty much everything on the menu.... Good beer selection (which I like:)) and the location is awesome. Will be back soon@!

This has always been a good little diner, but now...Wow! They've remodeled the place and the food is even better. Great value, great service, and food that anywhere else would cost substantially more. Everything is cooked fresh, the portions are huge, and the quality is excellent. Traditional turkey dinner, meatloaf, pork chops...wonderful comfort food. And they make Scrabble...eggs scrambled with ground beef, onions, and fresh spinach...Yum! For lunch...Best Rueben sandwich around. And if that isn't enough...they have a full bar and bartenders who really know how to mix a drink! Lamplighter is a gem.

I liked the food. No gimmicks. Just good food. I bought an american style breakfast of an eggwhite omlette with chicken. I don't like the jam, which are the cheap corn-syrup type, but you can't beat that omlette. Also, Honorable owners. There was a problem with (part of) the service and they insisted on giving me my meal for free. Very considerate of them. The place could do well with a remodel, but for the prices you have a wide selection of good food. Not a bad place to eat, overall. I hope I can go back some day.

Lamplighter is a place that I go often because it is clean,comfortable and convenient. It is convenient to both Van Nuys Blvd and the freeways. At Lamplighter I know that my food will be good and always get a smile from the staff.
