A local landmark for a number of years, La Frite has good steaks and salads. A little pricey on some items, and it drives me nuts paying for every 6oz Coke in a glass bottle they bring me, but overall a nice independent restaurant. They do, however, need to upgrade their seating - slightly tough on the backside.
This restaurant looks nice from the outside, but the service is horrible. We were not offered anything to drink or any bread for 20 min. Then we ordered after about 40 min and didn't get our food for almost another hour. The waitress was clueless and knew nothing of smoothing over angry patrons. The manager was better and discounted our meal, but the damage was done. The food was so-so to top it all off.
La Frite has excellent food at excellent prices. My wife and I eat here at least once a week and sometimes more.
Be sure to try both the La Frite Salad and La Frite sandwich.
They have all the traditional French Bistro fare at very reasonable prices (and as good as what you'll find in Paris, without the attitude).
