After much anticipation I finally went to Todai for dinner. The food was bland at best, all the trays of food were empty and the one that had some scrapes of food it was old and cold. The kitchen didn t put out any fresh food but yet we had to pay full price!!!!
I will never go back and I donot recommand this Place to anyone. It was an absolute waste of money and a ruin of date night.
Four of us had lunch there and was surprised to see the sign out front stating the lunch prices were $10.95 from Monday through Friday. However, it being a holiday, we weren't given the special lunch price and had to pay in full ($15.95). So for $20.00 more, we had the same food. They also were not taking coupons.
The food was good and fresh, plenty to choose from and the waitress was very attentive. I've been to other Asian buffets that weren't as expensive and basically had the same items to choose from. I think I will stick closer to home and save myself $5.00 a person.
I went to Todai for lunch yesterday...and I was very very disapointed. I have been to the Toda's in Las Vegas twice for lunch and dinner so when I heard there was a Todai's here close to home I was very excited and had been looking forward to Great sushi for days! There was only a selection of about 8 rolls... good for beginers at eating sushi but when you have had GOOD sushi its a BIG disapointment. Liked the Mangolian BBQ station and the Soup station but if I knew I was going to get ameture sushi I would have gone to a local sushi restuarant.
Was craving some sushi and was in Agoura Hills. I've been to other Todai - these places are great. Sushi fresh - not a tremundous variety - but good. Also alot of good 'cook' rolls for beginners to sample. We went on Thursday for Dinner. Price was great $21. No lobster unless you pay extra. A little more during the weekend. They had thick cuts of Tuna, Salmon, and Tilapia sashimi. Nigiri had very little rice with good slices of fish and warm freshwater eel. Good large size snow crabs. Fresh oysters. They have the usual cook fares for a chinese buffett - good, hot, not dried, not too salty. Korean short rib taste. Udon noodles brothe is good - noodle were average. Very good service. Very attentive and not annoying. I think I had my lemonade refilled like 6 times...
My business partner and I, visiting from Dallas had a great dinner last night, it was a super value in both price and quality.
After have read some the reviews I was apprehensive, I do not know what they were expecting. All was great, much better than good.
I highly recommend Todai, Woodland Hills
This is a horrible choice and I will NEVER eat at this location again!
Horrible quality and every dish in the buffet is not fresh. It tasted like it was sitting out all day...8 hours!
Do Not Eat Here!!!!!
I would give this restaurant a 2.5 C rating. I was looking forward to going all week then when I finally went, the food wasn't all that great. Average was about a B-C, nothing really fantastic. The service was awesome and kept your drinks filled and were very friendly, but the food is a dive, especially when you're used to fresh sushi at a sit down restaurant. The crepes look delicious, but you can tell the fruit they use has either been siting out, or in a weird gel that makes it look weird and slimy.
Don't travel out of your way to get to it if you have a sushi restaurant nearer where you live. Our bill came to much more than what we usually get at a nice restaurant and it wasn't worth it at all. If you don't care about the quality of the food, then go eat your fill. They do have a wide selection of food and I would say about 1/4 of it is actually pretty good. Not as good as you could get at a regular sushi restaurant though.
