AWESOME PLACE!!! The service here is great, manager is always up to par and waiters/waitress are great at what they do and always in a very pleasant mood and make you feel at home. My family and I have our favorite waiter, he is the BEST (Juan). But overall best for authentic food and service.
WELL, BACK ABOUT 15 YRS AGO I FIRST WENT TO DON CUCO, AND WENT THERE EVERY FRIDAY, WELL IN 2003 I STOPPED GOING DUE TO MY HUSBANDS ILLNESS, AND THEN THERE HAD A FIRE AND IT BURNED DOWN THEN IN 2008 WAS OPENED UP AGAIN WELL I WENT BUT, THE PORTION WERE ALOT SMALLER AND PRICE HAD GONE UP !!!! WELL I SAID FOR RICE AND BEANS THAT DONT COST ALOT OF MONEY THIS DAYS.. I SAID NO! TOO EXPENSIVE NOT WORTH COMING ANYMORE. WHICH IS SAD COMPARE TO ALL THIS YEARS I SPENT MONEY THERE.. I WOULD ONLY GO BACK IF THERE LOWERED THERE PRICES!!!!
After the fire my family and I attended the Grand Re-opening. It was fantastic Mark and his wife are wonderful people. They really captured the ethnicity of the Mexican decor. The food is also great, and very ethnic, we drive from West Covina at least once a month to dine at this establishment, even with the price of gas these days. I would recommend this location to anybody, the drive is worth it. They spared no expense in their sound system it is fabulous, and very professional installed.
Hands down the best Mexican Food (and best brunch) in Santa Clarita. My wife is Mexican and she says this is the closest thing to the food she had growing up. They have many different dishes, and they'll occasionally add some specials to their menu to keep things fresh. The brunch is great, especially for around $15 bucks (including champagne or soft drinks). The managers and staff are always friendly. This is the only place in the valley that we go to once a week, guaranteed!
I heard about them in a local magazine. Listed Mariachi Sunday Brunch 9-2pm. I thought great idea for New Year's Eve! Reservation made for my family, parents and in-laws for 10am. Mariachi's don't show up till after 11! My bill w/tip is $162. I get charged for $182. After 3 calls to manager finally it gets cleared 1 week later. $162 for 1-st time visit, not bad...I had another get together for about 20-25 people, I thought I would give them benefit to make good, maybe give me a discount. HA!!! Their manager says no I cannot give any discount.
We go up the street to Maria Bonita which has much better food and spend $400. Not bad for my 1st visit their!
Note to Don Cuco, I wasn't asking for much. How was business on thursday night !!!
I could not wait for DC's to open after the fire. My wife and I hae dined alone
and with friends and family for many years here. The place has lost points
in several areas of the dining date, not the least of which is the food itself.
From great to almost fast food in quality. Nice rebuild of the structure.
I really hope they can find that all around excellance they had before the
