I first started coming here in the '80s. If you want the real deal then go to Matt and Tony's. It's not some mass produced sub like Subway or Quiznos. The sandwiches are made the traditional way. So if you want a sub the way its suppose to be made then go to Matt and Tony's
This place is the best for Philly cheese steak I always get extra pickles,
The BEST subs in the valley, The service is good, But you have to know where it is or you will miss it... Everyone I have taken there loves it.,,,
Haven't been there in a while, but the food was good when I went there. The lady behind the counter was always rude, but she's probably gone by now. Parking in lousy and it's easy to miss the place. Come to think of it, don't bother!
I always loved Matt & Tonys across from the Victory Drive in growing up! BEST Subs ever!!!! Mom and I found out about the 2nd one on Sepulveda Blvd and stopped there a few years ago so excited! Well the 2 ladies were late getting there, we waited a long time for them to open up. When they did, they were very rude to us and we were nothing but nice. Then said they couldnt make sandwiches yet as they had to prep and such for a bit, what?!! There is no excuse for rudeness. Needless to say my 80 year old Mother was so unhappy & we couldnt wait anymore-on a roadtrip. Hopefully they read this and will take something away from it. I am passing thru there again this month and just found out theres another in Chatsworth?! We will stop there and hope for the best as we do miss these! So am going to try 1 more time, I hope someone else is at the counter now at the other one.
Matt and Tony's !!!! What can I say. Grew up in the valley and been going there for a while. Get the pastrami on a hard roll. If you need to get it to go, get the toppings on the side or your sandwich will be soggy! Changed owners over the years. Some latino ladies working the joint now, but they still boil that pastrami in the big pot, just in the back..Yummmmy
