This was the WORST resaurant I have ever visited! The owner was the most arrogant, unfriendly person you can imagine, service was bad (we had to wait 10 minutes to just get another glass of water!!!), 40 minutes later I had severe Stomachage which made me PUKE whatever I ate hard. Stay away from this horrible restaurant!
Best place ever. The food is great and the service is excellent. I dont know what that girl was talking about when she said they were unprofessional. Everything was great especially the beautiful new patio
I had my bridal shower at the restaurant in February and the new owners of the place are the most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with in my life. The food was so little, many of my guests had to ask the waiters for more food, and it took them an hour to bring it out. On top of everything 8 of my guests got parking tickets because the valet company they were using parked their cars on the street. When I tried calling them to take care of the tickets they didnt even know the valet companies name. I am still waiting for them to tell me who the company is. I am truly sickened by these people....so unprofessional!!
The Mandaloun - hands down is the best Mediterranean restaurant I have experienced here in Los Angeles and even Egypt. The music was excellent, the atmosphere was inviting and festive. Very upbeat. The owner takes his time to visit with his customers ensuring they are enjoying their evening. The food just keeps coming and you have multiple waiters that are routinely filling your drinks and checking on your table. The food was so flavorful and satisfying. If you are looking for a true Mediterranean night out full of fun and good food, Mandaloun is the place for you. There is a great live band on Friday and Saturday nights. Go out, have fun, enjoy the food and hookahs and you will always go back.
I had my bridal shower there in July right out side their beautiful patio and I myself and my guest had an excellent time. The service was wounderful and non stop, food was delicious. Truly the new owernership really made a big difference. See you soon Mandaloun!!!
Now it's under new ownership, the menu is one third the size and the great middle-eastern music has been replaced by live Jazz - A disconnect and dissapointment AND the absence of the once perpetual and lively and diverse crowd on weekend nights reflects it.
The restaurant is a pretty sight, clean and classy. We ate the planned dinner course on Fri. evening with entertainment. The appetizer bread with the variety of toppings (tabbouleh, chickpeas, hummus, yogurt, crush nuts, etc.) were a treat. The kebabs were good along with the rice and dessert afterwards. The live music and then the bellydancing was good entertainment. Bellydancing is a great form of fun exercise! The wait for the main course after the appetizers took a little long but maybe because we were early. But get there around 9 something and everything should be served on time and you'll have lots of appetizers to dine on (if you like that food a lot) and good entertainment while waiting for the main course.
It is a classy place compare to other middle eastern clubs. The food is great. The prefix menu on Fridays and Saturdays is satisfying and plenty. Billy dancing, dancing and hookah bar outside in the nice balcony. fun place for groups.
