Carousel Restaurant, Glendale

Lets start with some of the pros... 1. Nice decor. and 2. The Armenian Coffee and Desserts were good. Now, lets get to what the problem we encountered really was. The service was limited...from the waitress, to the waitstaff, to the owner/manager Michelle. We arrived with our out of town guests, looking forward to a wonderful mix of Armenian/Lebanese cusine and instead we came out nothing short of disapointed! The portions were very small, and the Kebab Platter was clearly not enough for four people. And lets not forget to mention the pilaf portions were only enough for one person. Keep in mind that we were are party of four adults! I would not suggest that anyone try Carousel. The food and service are not the best, and the bill was a total rip-off! They included the tip with the bill. Big NO NO! This should only be done for groups/parties of six or more. Remember that next time you go! So if ever in the mood for good Armenian/Lebanese food dont go to Carousel!!! Stay home and cook and nice meal in, or go to Raffi's Place off of Broadway right around the corner!

Carousel has really gone done hill in the past few years. We were in for a huge party last night and it had to of been over 90 degree's in the restraunt. The manager explained the air was broken, once again. Last summer remembering the same thing... no air. The owners must not be too concerned about their customers or they can't afford to have air condition. Thank god for the new Americana opening up. Will never visit the restraunt again.

This place is great. I've been to Glendale mostly for the Galleria and the Americana, so I've passed by this place dozens of times. I never thought to go in there. I went there because my good friend, who's Armenia, hosted her 30th birthday party there. The decor was nice. A little too gilded for my tastes, but tasteful. The service was good and the food was fantastic. I'm sure if they were serving for a smaller party the food would be much better. We had fifteen people in our group. I find that when large groups dine together, the food isn't as meticulously prepared. The price was very reasonable as well. Overall a great experience. I would certainly go there again. I've also noticed alot of other restaurants along Brand Boulevard. I've never even paid attention to half of them. I think I'll give them a try.

Ran into the resturant while on business and enjoyed tasty falafel. The hummus was delicious and pita bread warm and fresh. Service was fast and friendly.

I not being a middle eastern, for the first time I was taken to Carousel Restaurant to try their food. This is a great place to go with a group or for a date. They're food is middle eastern. Best appetizers and Kebab dishes I had ever had. I have been to different middle eastern restaurants but it did not taste great. The taste of each dish here was delicious with great flavor. They have full bar. Live entertainment Friday and Saturday night with Belly Dancing show. You must all go and enjoy the great food, very good service and beautiful atmosphere.

We just had an outstanding experience with a large group dinner. Excellent service by both the General Manager and the waitstaff. The main server took the time to fully explain all the dishes. The food was tremendous and we left very full and satisfied, but with quite a few leftovers!

I went to this restaurant based on the reviews here. The food was a little too salty for my taste bust still quite good. The service was also good. The only complaint I have about this restaurant is that the hostess both times I went was rude and didn't even greet my guests and I timely. We all stood there while she stood at the bar chatting. The restaurant was still quite empty. She could have at least acknowledged us. If it weren't for me having others with me...I would have walked out.

Food is great, atmosphere is awsome. Feels like a whole big family in one place.

If you're ever in Glendale, the restaurant to check out is the Carousel. Great food, ambiance with an Armenian touch.
