Gauchos Village is undoubtedly the finest Latin American restaurant in downtown Glendale. They serve a wide variety of authentically prepared meats and side dishes. But what distinguishes this restaurant is its lively ambiance. The chefs carry the sizzling hot meats right to your table and cut it before you eyes. This provides for a unique experience unlike any other. The staff is friendly, the music is upbeat, and the setup is stunning. If you are in Glendale, this is definitely the place to eat.
If you are a meat lover, you will love this place. From Filet Mignon to Lamb.. you'll sit in anticipaton for the next waiter to walk by with the next piece of scrumptous meat. Besides the many different meats you can also enjoy a buffet which includes black beans, a delicious meat and potatoes stew, salad, spanish and white rice, fried banana dessert, just to name a few. We highly recommend this restuarant. I especially enjoyed he live entertainment and brazilian dancers.
What a fun evening this was! Real Brazilian Currasqueria. The hot meats on swords delivered to your table - all you can eat. The abundant and authentic side dishes served buffet style. The marvelous staff. I found a real treasure here.
I had lunch at this restaurant during the weekday on March 28, 2005 with a group of 20 persons. We held a surprise birthday party for a co-worker. This was the third Brazilian Style Restaurant I have been too. The other two were located in Burbank and Van Nuys respectively. The hot skewers of meat that are brought to the table was very good and on Par with the Burbank restaurant. If you haven't been to a Brazilian restaurant before, you need to know that part of the fun involves the waiter bringing skewers of meat to the table and slicing pieces off. There is a wooden pole at the table that you turn up to the green position which signals to the waiter keep brining it on. The buffet at Gaucho's Village was the best of all 3 restaurants and really stood out for me. There were more choices at the buffet and everything was fresh and delicious. The service was very good and the interior has high open ceilings and the walls have murals of Cowboy scenes (very pleasant atmosphere).
