Gale's Restaurant, Pasadena

04/09/10 Just returned from an excellent meal at Gale's. Two of us started by splitting the large Chopped Antipasto Salad ($12), generous portion of chopped salami, cheese, olives and lettuce. Then we split a medium Garlic and Mushroom pizza ($17), we added sausage so it was one or two dollars more. The pizza was large for a medium, very good crust and the toppings were excellent. Plenty left for take home. Since we were celebrating a birthday and had signed up on Gale's mailing list we were treated to a dessert of our choice. We chose the peach and blackberry cobbler and were not disappointed. The crust was fantastic, warm and flaky, perfect with the peach and blackberry, topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was a good size for two people. Service was excellent, believe our server's name is John, he was always available without being intrusive. We sat in the back dining room, on the side of the bar. The restaurant was crowded and I recommend reservations. Things to know: Corkage is $10, parking is free, a real plus in Pasadena.

Caution when ordering wine at Gales Italian Restaurant… $13.00 a glass for “House Brand” Merlot? Four glasses show up on the bill at $52.00. You got us good, out of a $9.00 (one click above jug wine) bottle. This party of four say’s, goodbye…

Deeeelicious. A great experience overall. I'll definitely be eating here again if I'm in the area.

I'd like to write 3 pages on this place. Food, service, price, and ambiance are perfect. Food is incredible. So instead of reading about it make it a date. Just get ready on busy nights for a wait because it's small and cozy, but worth it.

A consistant meal of very good food and very good service. Restaurant main room is charming but can be loud. Back room is quieter but not as charming.

Had a delicious sandwich for lunch and great service with my co-workers
