This wonderful restaurant is perfect for every dining occasion and it features a menu of all American beef dishes, oversized salads, and a large variety of appetizers. They are open daily for lunch and dinner.
The restaurant is far too dark. Each table could use more light by which to even see the menu. The service was poor by any standard as the servers were slow to respond, and, seemed put out by customer's requests. The prices do not match the quality of the food. Way overpriced for what you get. Will never return.
It took a little getting used to the prices, but I now understand. The service and food are great. I usually don't put chains on my TV Show-----The Chef Knows--- Shameless plug. But this one tops the list. The Roast Dip Sandwich is made with prime beef the price is an ouch .. at $18 but I never leave hungry
I love going to Houston's. The waitresses have always been courteous and friendly. The food is superb. You can pick anything on the menu and the quality and taste is exceptional. The ambience at Houston's is great for lunch with co-workers or drinks and dinner with friends. Yes, it does get crowded, but that's a testament to how great Houson's is. The spinach artichoke dip appetizer is to die for...there is no restaurant that makes it better. I love this place!!!
We've been going to Houston's for years, and will only go when a certain waitress is working, as she provides superb service. Food is good. ALL of the hostess's are EXTREMELY RUDE AND SNOTTY. They can easily turn you off to going to this place. We don't go as often as we used to simply because of the poor attitude of the hostess's.
Also, they won't take reservations for 6 or more people. Always expect a 1 1/2 hour wait unless you have a reservation. If you have a reservation, the wait is about 20 min (yes, even with a reservation). Oh, and no more free bread, you have to pay for it!
After reading some of these reviews, I was very hesitant on making reservations for my boss and co-workers, but boy am I glad I did!! The service was great, the food was better and yes the water had no ice, but it was chilled and better for you, anyway! We are returning for lunch tomorrow, so hopefully I'll be able to say the same~ :) Thank you Houston's for making our lunch experience the best!!
I have been going to Houston's for years and have never had a bad experience. Even the times when a friend has not gotten his steak prepared right the waiters and management are more then happy to correct the problem. Their service is excellent and the food is amazing. The ribs, tortilla soup, and even the cesear salad is delicious.
The restaurant is usually crowded and reservations are needed but only for parties under 4 or under :(. The food there is great value for the quality. The Ribs are one of the best I've ever eaten. The Rib eye is tender and juicy. If your car is far away in its vast parking lot, there is a complementary cart that will take you to your car :). Good value for the quality, the service people try to be on top of things, can get a bit messy when its around 8 since its the most busiest hour. Should expect to pay around $40-50 pp
Upscale atmosphere, though you could hardly tell for the extremely darkly, barely lit interiors. Moderately, if confusingly diverse menu selction. Wait staff seemed mediocre at best. They didn't seem to know much about the menu items, and small things like bread and drink service were slow to start.Fairly large portion sizes. But everything is ala carte or close to it. For the very pricey cost, the food was only good not great. My father and I both had the prime rib a baked potato and split an order of cheese bread, and split a peice of cheese cake, price including tip $150.00. That's right a bit over $75 per person for one steak, one potato, an order of cheese bread and half a desert. The overall service....SLOOOOOOOOW.
