Kelly's Restaurant, Long Beach

I love Kellys, it has a friendly bar, makes you feel like a local. The food is terrific, I love to eat at the bar. It is also the perfect date restaurant with cozy leather booths, tableside dining. And you must have dessert, my favorite is the peanut butter bombe!

A tradition of fine service and excellent food. Wine lovers will appreciate the selection and value. The soups at Kelly's are outstanding. The steaks are quality and prime rib is the best in LA. Treat youself to a fine evening.

Since first visiting Kelly's, in the early nineties.... I was forever... taken. First off. The entrance.. Small, quaint,,, quiet.. the perfect Foyer. One host, simply awaiting for you, no pressure... no dress code. I've been there wearing a Vera Wang dress with heals, to ripped jeans and boots... as well as a couple times, on way home from Gym in evening, needed Kelly's, and also my couch and TV. Called, ordered, it was waiting... for me.. sweaty and all. Bob, behind the bar... God I hope that's his name... THE BEST Martini EVER. THE best Green Mussels, in cream sauce. Can you say Pate. Before,, perhaps... now... only Kelly's... Their Filet Minot... espeically off the menu, pepper steak, to die for... The Salad Throckmorton.. (preferrably chopped), again... OMG! Tira Misu... forget about it... And a list of wines that would blow the finest wine expert... away. Their job,,, creating. pleasing,, and comfort. The sound level... perfect.. Service... like you were royalty, yet not obstantascious. I've never loved anywhere the way i love this restaurant. It is the finest in dining.. From Fish, to Caviar, to Escargo, to the most simple of recipes.. They are more than happy to serve... OH, also, should you get the chance... The Filet Mingon, Dobey. Steak Dobey. Garlic shoved within. The filet... always melts in your mouth. And again.. a staff that has been there for years. They know you.. Happy to serve you... And your meal... may just last... for hours... The perfect way to spend the evening... The cost... Unbelievably less than you would think. Kelly's... with a backwards K. Inviting, warm, and perfect. The essence of true dining and pleasure... whether with friends, or on the perfect date... You will never leave unsatisfied.

My friend and I like pate. Neither of our husbands do. So we love to go to Kelly's for our birthday and special occasions so that we can have the wonderful pate they serve as an appetizer.

Best creme brulee I have ever eaten.
