My family has been going to Milk Barn since it opened back in the early 80s, and we've never been disappointed. To call it a 'hole in the wall' is an understatement; if you don't know what you're looking for, you'll miss it very easily.
The food is good, the service is always friendly--and unless you know when to get there (before lunch!) it is almost always busy, so expect a wait. It's worth it, though. The locals don't frequent the place just because it's there--they go there because it's good food, served by good people, with a hometown kind of attitude that welcomes you the moment you walk up to the counter.
I LOVE the Milk Barn so much that I regularly drive from Riverside to Long Beach just for a sandwich.
