LA Creperie Cafe

Description

La Creperie Cafe is a great place to have breakfast, it is a neighborhood delight. Find innovative crepes, live music, Monday wine discounts, and a friendly atmosphere. The place is almost always crowded, so a wait for a table is most likely. But the crepes, especially dessert crepes, more than make up for the bother. Service is also slow, so if you're finicky, skip the cafe.

I was there on a Friday evening and the food was absolutely wonderful. The service wasn't too bad either. It was so well worth every minute. I ordered a martini however, I wouldn't recommend it because I tasted absolutely no alcohol in it. I will stick to red wine next time.

We didn't know the wait would be long on a Saturday night and we stood out in the cold for about 45 minutes. However, it was all worth it. The wine was delicious, the crepes were outstanding. We all passed our plates around to taste what one another had order and I can honestly say that all dishes were beyond delicious. The servings are overly generous. I couldn't finish my own. Still we decided to share a dessert crepe (between 6 people) and a nice dessert wine. It was pricey if you're used to $5 meals but completely worth it for the quality of the food and the service. The ambiance was nice however, it feels a little crowded. Putting a positive spin on that one can say the place is quite cozy :)

I always spend my birthday here with friends and family. I am here about 3-4x per month. Yes, they have alot of tables per waitress, they work at a fast pace though. BTW they also have amazing for very inexpensively, avg price on a huge crepe is $11-13 i think, so I am not expecting someone to check on my table every few minutes. the waitstaff is a bit overworked but always, always, friendly. food is amazing, drinks are great.

We arrived @0930 on a saturday morning, seated inside near the piano. noisy, waiter took order after 15 minutes being seated. another 35 minutes before the food came out. tasty, but not hot. i ordered the alaskan, good, but not great. so noisy near the kitchen, sounded like a pub on a friday night. fair pricing. slow service. wife felt sick about an hour later after eating there. first time, last time for us. so many other fine places to eat in long beach. unless you are into the gaudy french decor, avoid this place.

The crepes were outstanding! The decor charming! We had no problem with the waitstaff, despite what some others have stated here. When we left Friday night, about 7:30pm there was a long line waiting to get in. Go hungry and don't miss out on the desserts! I wish they took reservations, that's about my only complaint.

the food is great, but the service is meh, very crouded. People were seated very close to each other, which you could barely move out. Was dumb that when we had a group of 5, we couldn't move those stool tables close to each other, until someone we knew said ok.

If your thinking about going to La Creperie Cafe, you should stop thinking and go!!!! This place is the best. From the live music, great wine selection and delicous food, there is no reason to think twice about this place. They have great savory crepes and the sweet ones will leave you in love with this place. I tell everyone I know about La Creperie and they always thank me for letting them know. I dont know what these other people are talking about but the servers treat you great. The wait is worth it, trust me it's busy for a reason.

I do have to say the food is amazing. There is no question about the quality of there food and the presentation. However, the service of the staff is so lack luster compared to their food. It leaves a lot to be desired. Not only that but the wait for a table is another thing you must take into consideration when choosing to eat there. If you are coming with a large party of like 8 to 10 people you may want to pack a lunch when you are going to dinner. I tried to express my concerns to management via telephone who had a staff member take a message instead of talking me. So I am writing a review just to fair warn customers not to have high expections for the services and expect a long wait.

Went for Sunday brunch. Great food. Garish decorations -- a little over the top with the thematic french decor. Service was not horrible as others have mentioned. Overall, I would say it's worth the visit.
