Sophy's Thai & Cambodian Csn, Long Beach

This is a great place! I work right by the LB Airport and am always looking for good food on my lunch break! Got the Pad Thai Chicken and it was awesome! Great flavors and huge portions! The lunch special to go was $6.95 and worth every penny. The menu is very large so I'll be back to try more of these gems. A great secret spot! Two thumbs up here! Will bring the family back...

This is the best place around for this type of food. Great staff, friendly and they know their food. They have even made dishes off the menu when not busy. Wonderful place to take the family and sit and relax. Sophy, Bobby, Rit, Lang, Chet, Retina & all know how to satisfy the palate. You gotta go here! It has replaced my favorite Italian place as my favorite place to eat.

Thai cuisine is something that I am very familiar with - not so much Cambodian. I recently visited Long Beach with some friends, and we really wanted some good food. This was definitely the place! We did it family style, so I got to sample a bunch of dishes... all of them great. If you like noodle soups (like Pho & Bun Bo Hue), then I recommend Phnom Penh or Thai Boat soups. Both, are very good. I really liked the Chanpu, Rad Nah, & Pad Se Ew there. Thai Beef Salad is one of the best I've had, but I wonder if it's a Cambodian recipe because it was slightly different. The beef jerky that they make is so good! Eating with a bunch of friends made it enjoyable... we had a feast! The staff was extremely friendly, and the atmosphere was upbeat. I will definitely go back when I visit SoCal.

Every time I had friends/relatives from out of state even from out of the country, I always take them to this place which made very very good Cambodian foods. I recommend this place to everyone whom want to natural and healthy food.

Sophy has moved to Pacific Coast Hwy.....about 5 minute from the old location. This is a bigger place and with the same delicious food! Must check it out!!!!!

Nasty food. Not worth going to. Too MUCH MSG. The staff is great but I can't say the same for the food.

I tried this restaurant based on the other reviews. Unfortunately I was rather underwhelmed. I've been looking for a good local Thai restaurant for some time and apparently my quest will need to continue... Pros: Friendly helpful wait staff Convenient location (In Long Beach) Friendly and helpful customers that suggested certain dishes (this was s very nice touch) Cons: The food just wasn't all that good - it wasn't horrible, but it wasn't worth of consistent 5-star ratings. I think the top rating should be reserved for an extraordinary experience. This wasn't it... My quest continues...

This is a great restuarant!! I enjoy the food and the service not like new paradise restuarant who gave me and my friends bad service. Actually because of new paradise restuarant and their bad service to teenagers is how I found sophy's restuarant. And i recommend eating at sophy's than new paradise.

Wow... my wife and I bring our friends to this restaurant when we get a chance to. What a wonderful choice for authentic cuisine from Thai and Cambodian recipes. This place rocks, the staff is friendly and helpful. The food is healthy and the flavors always leave us wanting more. I like to have a glass of wine with my meal sometimes or even a beer, or two. My wife loves the soups they have and the beef skewers are the best. The grilled salmon is really good and the Asian crepes were a welcome new experience for us. This place has enough variety that we have been able to go back and enjoy it each time. Our thanks to the establishment for doing such a great job.
