Cafe Piccolo, Long Beach

Outstanding favorite of ours. Been going since 1988 and continues to shine. Dinner reasonably priced which includes rolls and salad or soup. We have always had great service. Best to sit outside to enjoy the beautiful patio and fire pit.

A great place to go, so charming and yummy food. It is decorated with lawn furniture and tablecloths (without being cheesy) firepits and you dine inside a terrarium of sorts. The food is so good, but can be a little pricey. The service does suffer greatly when it's busy, so either make reservations or go early (or kick back and take your time). Quaint and charming without being hoity toity, you will dig it!

We go all the time because we LOVE IT, LOVE IT. Service is great, the food is even better and I think it's very well priced ((that's why there is always a line). Try the spicy shrimp or shrimp risotto, but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu! Even though I love the place, the only thing I would change is the wine list..,.it stinks.

We like it but it just seems to be a little pricey for what it is. Don't go when they are very busy because the service really suffers then. Wines are decent, food is above average and service is usually good.

This is a delightfully well appointed restaurant. The food and service is terrific. I enjoy most items on the extensive menu. They have a fine wine list and have several delectable desserts. The atmosphere is romantic although sometimes can be loud. I enjoy sitting in the patio which is agreeably decorated with foliage. Whenever good friends or family come to visit, this is one of the uppermost restaurants that come to mind for dining. It tends to fill quickly during dinner, so it is advisable to arrive early and to possibly expect a wait. Cheers.

Cafe Piccolo is a wonderful place to enjoy a relaxing meal or romantic dinner for a special occasion. The decor is very appealing and relaxing. Lots of rich and plush red tones. The hanging umbrellas with the lights underneath are a very pretty touch. The food is excellent. I would recommend the Black Linguini or the Saltimboca. The lentil curry soup is absolutely delicious. The wine list is a little on the pricey side if you just want a basic bottle under $30 dollars. The service is excellent, the staff is very attentive. I would recommend it! We even saw one of the owners from Utopia (one of my other reviews) eating there that evening!
