I strongly suggest that NO ONE patronize this restaurant!!!!!! We spoke with Fred, the owner, by phone and then met with him (we paid a lot of money for a taste of the food and wine). When we left were told that the evening we wanted to have our company christmas party was available and he would leave it open for us ... we called a couple days later to schedule a time to come to the restaurant (trying to be considerate of his time and not just show up) and make our deposit ... we were very clear about why we were coming to the restaurant (to make the deposit) and he agreed to the appointment. We arrived at the designated time and he was very aware why were were there and informed us that he had given the date to someone else. Several things he said indicated that he was also aware that that was the best if not the only date for us. We were so sure that we had the place that invitations had already been sent to all staff, Board members and policy board members. He left us in a very difficult and embarassing situation and I will tell everyone I ever meet to NEVER, NEVER step foot in this place!!!!!
I was so excited to have our wedding at the Gazzella and everything went perfect, food was great and the ambiace was beautiful; however, they over charged for drinks (Water & coffee was $3.00) most resturants will not charge you for coffee and water. alcoholic beverages were $6-$10 (way too much money). If you have a wedding at the Gazzella, make sure to discuss drink prices before-hand.
If you decide to have the ceremony at the Gazzella, I would suggest getting ready at a near by hotel. There is a room they provide to the wedding party to get ready, however, money was taken out of our wallets while the wedding was going on. My mother, best friend and myself (the bride), had money taken.
If these things had not happened, it would have been the perfect place.
I had heard great things about the Gazzella, so I was really excited when
my best friend told me she was getting married there. My excitement ceased at the end of the wedding night when I realized that my money had been stolen from my wallet. Most likely by an employee. I was in the wedding party and along with the bride and her mother decided to leave our belongings in the upstairs room designated for the bride. Not wanting to lug my purse around all night, I assumed that would be the safest place to leave it. Money was also stolen from the bride and her mother. At one point I saw 2 employees in the room. I would not recommend the Gazzella for a wedding party. In addition, they raised the alcohol prices during the night and a few people had questionable charges on their bills. They also charged the guests for water and coffee.
