Rafael's Mexican Restraunt has been open for over 16 years and since then nothing has turned out wrong great service great food and of course perfect place to spend time with friends and family!

I remember when Rafael's first started out two doors down in a tiny spot, and customers would tape money on the walls with a message. My dad used to have a jukebox there so we were very close with the owner Maria (R.I.P.) Now they have moved to a larger spot and most of the original servers are still there, LULU, Maria Luisa, & Sylvia. I have always ben very picky about my mexican food, and to me they have the BEST Mexican food! It's not all greasy like most places. My fav is the #1 combo Beef taco & Chilie Relleno. Try the Michiladas they are the bomb here! At easter time they also have tortas de cameron yummy! Great food, great prices, and great service!!!! A rating :)

Yo frequento Rafaels 3 veces por semana. Su comida y servico son excelente. Mis platillos preferidos son STEAK PICADO, FAJITAS DE POLLO, Y BURRITO ESPECIAL...PRUEBALO Y TE GUSTARA!!!

RAFAELS IS THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD RESTAURANT IN MONTEBELLO. SERVICE IS AWSOME AND THEIRS NOTHING BETTER THAN EATING A HOME COOKED BREAKFAST,LUNCH OR DINNER. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. AND CONGRATS TO THE MANAGER, LULU KEEP IT UP... AND KEEP THOSE FAMOUS DISHES COMEING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was disappointed with Rafael's Restaurant. Their Cocido was not good. It had no taste, no seasoning, and their flour tortillas were paper thin. The atmosphere was not good either. Customers were loud and obnoxious. Most were Senior Citizens who acted like high schoolers. They laughed out loud and did not respect the peace of others. I could not even hear my friend across the table. We had a hard time hearing each other. There were three tables with 4 to 6 Senior Citizens and all three tables were loud, loud, loud. My experience at Rafael's Restaurant was not a good one. C{;o(

Most of their dishes are dry and have no flavor.
