Vince's Spaghetti Restaurant, Torrance

This Place is one of the best non chain Italian food. The menu might be minimal but the pasta is made daily. You have to try it. There establishment is cozy love the mama and papa of this restaurant.During Christmas they have the local high school perform it is beautiful.

Almost indescribably bad. Here's your menu: ravioli, spaghetti, lasagna. Or, you can get 1/2 ravioli, 1/2 spaghetti...or 1/2 lasagna and 1/2 ravioli, or...you get the idea. It's all mushy, and smothered in a bland marinara sauce. Inexplicably crowded...do people in Torrance really think this is Italian cuisine?

The food is basically Stoufers frozen food heated in a microwave. It has no real flavor whatsoever it tastes weird like the microwave cooked some of the plastic onto the entree? Our teenage waitress was clueless. I was served both my soup, salad and entree 10 minutes after each of my friends received their dinner. It was comical. At least the manager made an effort to apologize and were discounted (1 Star for that) On top of all of that the place smells like old socks. Stay away. Why people like this place amazes me?!

I have been eating at this chain of restaurants for years. They have locations in Ontario and Upland, California. The Torrance location is the best tasting and quality. It is family owned. This Torrance location is owned by the cousin who does things with a little more style if you compare to other locations. It does get crowded call ahead to find out best time to visit and avoid the rush hour of people. The service is good and they have variety of spaghetti and ravioli that come with salad and garlic or cheese bread. It has a fun family atmosphere. The food is so filling that it is difficult think about desert. It is about $10 a person for the meal and drink.

The food is better than any chain Italian restaurant in the area by far! I especially like the fact that the owners hire young staff! It is a wonderful place for a first working experience! There are so few places willing to hire people under 18. Great job all around! I also like the relaxed atmosphere.

Many (maybe 20+ years ago) I ate there and didn't like it but couldn't remember why. But tastes change. Tonight I found myself in the neighborhood and hungry, so I decided to give it aother try. Probably never again. The spaghetti meat sauce had an odd flavor - can't put my hands on it - but odd. Flavorless yet odd. The soup I believe was Campbell's. The salad was just lettuce with a few pieces of cabbage and drowned in some kind of Italian dressing. The garlic bread was great; the cheese bread not so much. The waiters were silent, pretty much rolling up their rolling carts with the food. Zero ambience. And, like a coffee shop, you pay at the desk. Now . . . I remember why I didn't it. But, if you are hungry, the value is good - just not the taste, ambience or service.

Good, steady, dependable....the service, food and atmosphere are always good. They must have one heck of a management team (or one strudy owner) because I've never had a snotty server or bad food there. The menu isn't very broad but everything they do is good and we eat there often. It's near work and I can't tell you how often we close the place. The music is never too loud for an end of day chat. The deserts are as good as the food. No pretensions, good food and good service.

I first tried Vince's on a date several years back and loved them since. If you are looking for choices, choices, choices, this is not the place for you. If you like or love rather Italian food, red sauces, a casual and nice comfy atmosphere, this is the place! It is kid friendly and even my sister who does not like much Italian will eat here. Great place for basics that taste good!
