Steak Corral Restaurants, Whittier

We drove bye for several years wondering what this place was. Dont be like us! Stop and go for it! We have been in awe ever since we stopped to try. Its like an old ranch setting, comfortable, yet nice. The owner is usually behind the grill, and the people who work there are supper helpful, and proffesional as well. Now here is the BOMB! There steaks, and other food is delicious. A great choice, and you recieve alot for your money. I am positive you will not be disappointed. I take my family there, and my friends. And everyone thinks the same as i do. Take you and yours for the best tasting, and well deserved, for your money, in the LA, or OC areas. God bless the Steak Corral.

I ve been going to Steak Corral for years and years. It s the best steak/meal for the price you can get. I ve never had a bad experience there ever. The employees are great. In fact, now that I m talking about it, I ll have to go there for dinner tonight!

I've been eating at Steak Corral for years and feel It's much better than Sizzler. Unfortunately most have closed. My kids celebrated many birthdays at Steak Corral in West Covina near where we live, but it too is now gone. We're celebrating my daughters 25th birthday tonight so we will be going once again to Steak Corral.....but now in Whittier. I think I like this one the best, so we go there quite often. It's well worth the drive! Great food, great atmosphere.

After celebrating our 34th wedding anniversary and wanting to go back in time to reminence, we discovered Steak Corral is still open after all these years and hasn't changed a bit! Still looks the same, good service, and the food was better than ever! What a treat and we only wished it was closer to home. Will come back again with friends and family! Please never close down! :)

My friends used to take me to the Steak Corral in Covina and we were sad when it closed. Now we drive to Whittier for the memories. Great cheese bread and salad bar....get the croutons! Where else can you get filet mignon for $11.95 And it tastes great, For steak on a budget, this is the place to go! Fun atmosphere also. Cute cowboy in front.

I loved loved loved the Steak Corral! The meat was not the very highest quality but for the price you cant beat it! It isnt fine dining so if that is what you want-go spend the money. The atmosphere here is great, the service was slow to start but then excellent. The meat was not too fatty or gross. Everything tasted fresh. Overall it was great! I will MOST DEFINITELY be going back. And I loved the little steak guy outside, he made the night!

My parents used to take me here when I was 10 yrs. old. My younger daughter plays softball and we were out there so I took her there. she loved it.. It was almost the same as when I was 10. With the exception of two things.. Used to have the best Blue cheese dressing I ever tasted. Not now. And, they used to have a dessert corner where after you ate you could go make sundae. Yummy. they don't have that any more either.. But, all in all. It was great.. The service was good also..

I took my family out there for dinner and I have to say I will not be returning. For one the service is awful, the employees were very rude and most of the time they ignored me. They got my order wrong (I ordered a well done T-bone steak, when I got it was very rare!) so I asked politely if they could stick it back on the grill and cook it until its at least medium well done and she started arguing with me! I was so upset I asked to see the manager and she stated that he was not there. I eventual got up and took my family to someplace more professional which was not too hard to find. I definitely DO NOT recommend this place to anyone unless you like undercooked food and rude employees.

I love this place.. like others I have been going there for a very long time since I was in diapers.. we use to go there ever Friday night it was awsome then and it still is! you cant beat the prices there great! good service good food.. Ive been to the one off Azusa too (before it closed) but I have always prefered the one in Whittier.

I started going to Steak Corral in Azusa in the early to Mid 70's when I was a young child. It was ALWAYS my favorite and Sizzler as a comparison was in a completely different league (for the worst). Since the mid 70's I have not been to Steak Corral as my family split up and I joined the Army. Well 30 plus years later I decided to look it up to see if it was still around. I could still taste the one of a kind salad croutons, dressing, portorhouse and of course the perfect garlic toast. Well I finally found out that the Steak Corral in Azusa closed a couple of years ago but their was still one in Whittier. I read the reviews and decided to give it a try again. Well I took my family of five last night and it was a reunion I will never forget. When I got out of the van, I immediately remembered the smell from when I was a child! I walked in and saw all the old decor which still existed from the 70's! The set up was exactly the same all the way down to the small chuck wagon lights at each table. The only difference was the sour cream, butter, chives, was now in it's own walk up bar unlike the 70's when the waitress brought it to your table in a catering triple dish. they have also expanded and added many more items including mushrooms and grilled onions. The food was EXACTLY the same as it was so long ago. It's amazing that after all these years, they can still keep the same recipes and keep the food to the identical quality it was so many years ago. The family simply loved it and the prices are so affordable! All I can say is AWESOME! Don't listen to those couple of reviews talking about how dirty the place is or how bad the food is. the place is wonderful! I told my wife and kids that if I had the choice of a free dinner at Steak Corral or a place like outback, texas roadhouse, etc. I would easily choose Steak Corral even though those other places cost twice as much! Thank you so much for still being there!
