This place is great! The food is always fantastic and I recommend it for anyone who is looking for great, authentic Italian food. I have yet to be disappointed, and the people I've brought come back own their own!! Don't let the outside fool you, this place is fantastic!
I tried this place because of the reviews I read. However I wasn't very impressed. Food was pretty tasty when we did recieve it. It took a while for the waiter to actually take our order, a party of 3.
Customer service blew probably wont go back again, im huge on service.
Trust me when I say you will NOT be disappointed! I started working in Los Alamitos about 2 years ago and my co-workers introduced me to this place and thank the Man above for that...I would have passed by this placed a million times and never see it. For 2 years now I have gone there for lunch almost every Friday. I have had many, many dishes and I am always pleased. The food is excellent! Another great reason to go is the service. It is ran by a family and that is exactly what you are treated like. Whenever I go in the waiters walk out with my drink without even having to ask (as well as my co-workers). The prices are beyond reasonable for what you get and the quality. I highly recommend Franco's!!! I love it!
What a great dining experience--the food is fantastic --from the Salmon Piccata to the Scallops and Risotto--and omigosh ,Don't even try to leave without having dessert!! This is family owned and operated and everyone is treated as extra special--now they even know us by name--and we go there as often as we can--the BEST Italian dining in the area!!!
Absolutely one of the best places to eat great Italian food in the area! The atmosphere is terrific. Family owned and operated and they treat you as though you too are family. I love the food, the desserts are out of this world, and I love my cappaccino with my initial on top! These types of restaurants are very hard to find. I love Francos!
We thought this was going to be a fun dinner with some very good food. What a mistake that turned out to be. We ordered 3 appetizers and none of us ( 2 couples) wanted to finish any of them. The carpaccio was cut too thcik and so overseasoned it was a crime. The mussles were overcooked and too salty. We mentioned this to the waiter and said we didn't want to be comp'd, but we would like a bit more preperation care for the entrees. The owner showed up next and told us everyone liked their food and if didn't like we we had eaten then we wouldn't like the main course. So she asked us to leave. We were stunned. we were being very polite and not causing a scene.
We aren't snobs, but we know when food is good or not. This was not good food. There were plenty of people there so it seems this type of fare is acceptable to quite a few people. There are plenty of better places to go without the attitude.
