When you want more than the typical neighborhood Italian fare, visit this elegant and beautifully designed scene not far from the ocean breezes. The food is not inexpensive but, after all, you get what you pay for. A true culinary experience, the homemade pastas melt in your mouth, and the meat and fish is unbeatable. The presentation alone deserves high praise. Book ahead for a private meal in the large wine cellar, everyone will wonder who you are.
An absolute gem! had a nice dinner here for 2. The pheasant pappardelle was as delicious as the reviews say! and all (burrata, carpaccio, etc) dishes were prepared as beautifully as they tasted. The appetizers run in the $10s, their pastas/risottos in $20s, other entrees a tad higher. Don't forget to ask the sommelier for a wine pairing!
I will be back to try other entrees. mmmmm
I love this place. It is pricey, but if you get one of their truly excellent pasta dishes and keep your bar tab down, you'll have an absolutely great meal at a decent price. Very quiet and refined. It's a great place for an anniversary celebration.
Want to visit Italy in Los Angeles. Hear the waiters speak fluent Italian, sip the best Barola and taste food from a Chef raised in Sicily. If this isn't heaven, this is as close as I can get in the city of Angels.
