The Warehouse, Marina del Rey

This place was ABSOLUTELY awesome. I had the Baked Farm Raised Salmon. It was salmon with crab stuffing / Lobster-Chardonnay Sauce. It was so good...The restaurant had a great view off the marina, definitely a place that I would recommend to eat at.

We were staying in Marina and wanted steak. We were hoping for aged beef and we found The Warehouse. We dined late and as we entered I couldn't help notice the evil glare one of the servers gave the host for thinking of seating in her section. The decor was rustic seaside bordering Tiki style. The menu is complete with many desirable items. Our server Rachel made leaps and bounds in from our initial impression at the door. She is efficient but not cloying, friendly and personable but not buddies. Overall we really enjoyed our evening at the Warehouse. The tiki like atmosphere made me want a Mai Tai. After querying about the competentcy of the bartender I ordered a Mai Tai only to discover I received a fruit juice version. We have eaten at this restaurant twice. The service is not very good. We had to wait a long time for someone to come check on us and it was a weekday. The calamari was horrible. They offer an appetizer of ravioli that is pretty good. We had filet mignon as an entree and the portions were pretty big. The Long Island and martini drinks are very strong, all you need is one. I would eat here again and hope for the best.

The wine I ordered was not what was served. The food was poorly prepared and the presentation non existant. I asked the waiter to take back the filet that was ordered medium and served raw and have it re-cooked. He came back in 3 minutes with the outside browned and the inside raw. I pushed the plate away in disappoinment. Won't go here again.

We make a point to stop here each time we drop into Los Angeles, its a family favorite with great food and fantastic service.

Well established and a great date place. Sit outside even if its cold. They have plenty of heaters. Beautiful on the water seating. The food is good, the service is good and its is definitely romantic.
