Capt Kidd's Fish Market, Redondo Beach

This is a fish market with a difference: You can not only order raw and cooked fish to go, but you can point to the item you want, tell them how to cook it, and specify which sides you want. While it's being prepared, you get any beverages, smoked fish, or cold seafood salads you want, and wait for your number to be called. Everything's fresh, and there are hundreds of choices. There are also a number of pre-specified dishes you can order. The price is right, and you can pick as big or small a piece of fish as you want (up to a pound, I think). Tables are mixed-size picnic-type tables, so you may wind up sharing space with another family. Most customers seem to order huge masses of crabs or other crustaceans.
