This place is awesome! The sushi was extremely good. The decoration was cool and fun to look at. When I arrived (at around 5:30 ish), it was pretty empty, but by the time I left, it was starting to get crowded so get there early!
Service: Great. The our waiter was extremely attentive and helpful. Plus, he was good looking, too!
Food: Very fresh. It's not cheap, but very tasty. We ordered some salmon, tuna, yellow tail, and albacore nigiri and each one was melt-in-you-mouth delicious! The rice came apart a little too easily but it was forgivable.
We ordered a few different rolls that I forgot the names too. But one I do remember is the Hawaiian roll which was served on this little rack over fire! It looked and tasted amazing. I recommend it!
Also, don't order something like california rolls. They were huge but not as good as the other rolls they have on their menu.
The bill came out pretty expensive, but it was such a fun adventure that I have to recommend this place!
First of all the selection of rolls is unbelievable and the fish is so fresh. I love this place. I do eat at Katana on Sunset but, if you want a low key sushi place that is both great & a great value this is the spot. I can get my boyfriend to go any night of the week because they put all sporting events on the big screen on mute. So he can sit & watch & I get to eat out on game night. And there are these waterfalls that make it so relaxing.
Kaya Sushi is located in a little strip mall across the road from Costco - in a strip mall seemingly in the middle of nowhere, but if you're looking for sushi rolls, Kaya has a menu of just about every roll you can imagine. The service is great, and surprisingly fast for a sushi restaurant. If you like sushi rolls, definitely check it out.
