Saaris Restaurants, Inglewood

My friend who takes his clients to this restuarant introduced me to Saaris. The restaurant is owned by a couple, so it has a real homey feel to it. As soon as you walk in you hear traditional African music and hear bellowing laughter. The service was very good and they were very attentive. The menu does not change, its a plastic one sheet. I ordered the Stewed Chicken with Rice, plaintains and ginger beer. The plaintains were some of the best I have ever tasted they were cooked to perfection and had a slight sweet taste to them.The rice is the best rice I have ever eat and I topped with a tomato based sauce that had a slight kick to it from the chicken. The chicken was tender, had a kick and was filled with flavor. It was one of the best meals I have had in a long long time. I plan to go back there at least once a week!
