As much as I enjoyed eating at both of these locations, and I admit that I ate far too much white French bread to dip in the sauce. I am sorry to say, that both locations are now out-of-business. At the Marina Del Rey location, is now 'Aunt Kizzy's Back Porch' for anyone that likes soul food.

Cool 1st Date Spot
By Robert, 11/27/06
Guess what the house specialty is. Killer Shrimp the dish is fresh Gulf shrimp slow-cooked in spicy sauce and served generously with your choice of bread, rice, or pasta. If that doesn't sound like much of a menu, consider that Killer Shrimp does a brisk eat-in and take-out trade every day; the beer, wine, and pecan pie dessert, nice as they are, aren't what's packing them in. Casual, with indoor and outdoor seating....Prices range from $13.95 to $15.95 It has become one of my favorite spots and if you like shrimp, I'm sure it will become one of yours.

Excellent place for date.
By BlkPablo, 3/22/06
If you are looking for a place to take your date that has good food, inexpensive, wonderful ambience and it doesn't give you that hole in wall feel; then this is the place. Killer Shrimp is nice and quaint. Menu is simple. Every entree includes shrimp. Simplicity is the key here. Don't expect the fancy china and crystal; just simple good eatings. The ambience is romantic, yet casual. I cannot say enough about the place. I was impressed from day one. Everyone I have taken there was also impressed. This is the place to go in L.A. if you enjoy shrimp.

Love It!
By AztkDiva, 11/28/05
I love the house specialty...creole shrimp in a spicy sauce. The place is small, but the food is comfort food. Prepare to get messy, no such thing as forks and spoons...all with your hands and slices of french bread is your spoon. Not to worry they provide you with bibs for us really messy eaters. They only have 3 dishes (Orginal Killer Shrimp; Killer Shrimp with Pasta; and Killer Shrimp with Rice) and one dessert...Cold Pecan Pie. I'm not a fan of pecan pie so I personally don't care for it, especially since they don't even heat it up. Overall I love the Creole Shrimp Specialty! So try it!

not the best
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/24/05
I love shrimps but didn't find this place the best. They try to besimple but I would have liked to have a salad or a option of vegetable instead of having bread or pasta or rice... The crew is nice and the place simple... but the cheaper dish is about $17...
