Terrace Cafe (The)
One of the best restaurants on Washington Boulevard in Venice, The Terrace Cafe integrates old world charm and joie de vivre into both its interior and its attitude, perpetually buzzing with a jovial vibe. Choose the smaller patio in the back for privacy and premium views of the setting sun over the Venice Pier. The cuisine is best described as Pan-European, with distinct French, Spanish and Russian influences peppered throughout. The owner - a spirited and jokey Russian gent, himself no small gourmand and bon vivant - will personally check on you throughout the dining experience and regale you with some witty recommendations and scathing humor should you get on a chummy wavelength. Come here for good cheer, succulent delicious meals and riveting sunsets. -Jamie Zum
Currently in the place. Waited 10 min before a waitress asked if we ve been helped. Apparently the hostess forget she sat us down & no one bothered to check. She did apologize. Will pause to do food review. Waiter Ryan sucks so far though. Food was not bad. Service just really really sucked. Will never go back.
Beware of Vladamir the Troll who owns this establishment. He is the ugly bald Russian who sits at the end of the bar and insults female customers. I will no longer eat here if he is here. He is rude and vulgar.
great place by the ocean to meet friends or loved ones for some dinner
next to several bars and cafes...or the walk/bike path along the ocean
very tradition menu...the regular drinks...it's really the location that makes this a good stop before a night out
What I believe to be the owner (short, bald, heavy, Russian?) used profanity in front of my children. The food was lousy. The service was OK at best. The Value, lol, there isn't a value here. EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE.
Great food and fun atmosphere...great place to brings friends, they have fun as well as quiet places inside to eat and a great patio, i had the blacken pork chop and she had the lobster fetachini(spelling i know) but it was a great experiance it is right at teh venice pier
The huge crowd sipping margaritas in the bar is the first clue as to the popularity of this Mexican cantina.
The entire restaurant rolls with an upbeat, almost silly atmosphere. The wait on a Friday night can be anywhere ...
