We tried Islands for the first time this weekend. The atmosphere is kick back, the restaurant was clean, staff was friendly, and food was great. We had the grilled fish and fish sandwich with Rusty Anchor drinks. You must try the Rusty Anchor, it was like having dessert before dinner with the perfect combinations of pineapple, banana, rum, and Kahlua.

They have some salads that are good. The service here is informal but OK. The Fries are good, the beers choices are better than average. The Hamburgers here are the worst of the Islands Restaurants in LA. I wouldn't recommend this place, other better choices in the area, and in the city for sure!

great burger in venice

kinda tropical/hawaiian atmosphere just a couple blocks from the pier and walk on the beach parking lot too! great burgers...i had it with chili, bacon and cheddar...mmm. good service, waiter was knowledgeable about products and eager to serve food prep didn't take too long and was grilled perfect will go back again

Good food, fun atmosphere, great for families

My husband and I take our two young children to Island's nearly every weekend. They have great chicken tacos (we love the Yaki tacos), burgers, etc. Their endless chips and salsa are the best. The kids always enjoy the island atmosphere and watching surfing or skiing on the many TV sets throughout the place. The prices are reasonable, and the service is generally very good.

Very good chicken sandwiches

I was very hungry and ordered a chicken sandwich with bacon and mushrooms and fries. The fries come in such a big basket it's almost scary and I'm a big eater... Great for sharing. Very casual ambiance, good food, good music and fast service. Perfect when you are in a hurry.

Bucketloads of fries

For a pretty good veggie burger (can't vouch for the meat, sorry) and a basket of fries bigger than your head, this is a great place to go. Sip on drinks with tropical names and watch surf videos while you wait for your food. I've always had speedy, accurate service. If you're looking for strong drinks, this isn't the place to be.
