When I lived here this place was the Sea Lion. There was a pool in front with Sea Lions swimming in it. Now its all parking. Good, there wasn't enough then. I knew Duke's in Hawaii, that's the kind bro. This place is just as good but with better beer. When ever I pass on PCH at the right time I stop in for a beer and a Albacore sandwich, like in Honolulu. Negative, I don't like valet parking. I'd rather park my self and not have to wait when leaving and have to give some schmuck a tip. You can park yourself, just at the far end of the lot. Nice view at the bar and seated both.

Apparently our waitress didn't think our 20% cash tip was enough and added her own, because the amount we were charged was higher than what I authorized...

Awesome! We had lunch during the week. The Parmesean Herb Crusted Oompa Fish was to die for!! OMG! It came with a delightful rice dish and side of perfectly seasoned slaw. Great sour dough bread. All for $13.95. Same dish is 26.00 at night I think. It was a wonderful meal for 14.00. Service was wonderful also. Don't even have to count the view which was icing on the cake!

You are paying for the view. Overpriced food which was the same caliber as Denny's but with portions half the size. If you are a clueless college-aged brat whose dad like totally owns a dealership, this place is perfect for you.

Duke's is a wee bit different that the one in Waikiki but still a beast...order anything and wash it down with a Lava Flow. During Happy Hour everything is half off in the bar area.

Went on a Friday evening, which was my girlfriend's birthday. I thought that the weather would be poor, the parking would be bad, the wait long, the food, subjective. Boy, was I wrong on ALL counts! The weather was great, valet parking, we got seated 50 minutes before our reserved time. We were given a table with a sick (great) view overlooking the moonlit Pacific ocean and Catalina Island. I proposed to her that night... I was one of a party of 4. We had ribs, shrimp scampi and steak, along with calamari, and minestrone soup. We each loved the food and the waitress service was terrific. The calamari stole the show. Several weeks later, my fiancee wanted to go back. She couldn't get the calamari out of her mind. Good Food, Great Ambiance
By ,
My girlfriend heard about Duke's and was excited to try it. We first went on a Sunday, hoping to have lunch. They have a brunch buffet instead of a lunch menu on Sunday's. Since we had already had breakfast, we chose to come back for a dinner. The restaurant is very comfortable inside. All the tables have a great view of the ocean. It is nicely decorated inside, classy but casual. Dress is anywhere from casual to suits. They provide valet parking for $3, or you can find a spot on the street for free (no parking meters). On Wednesday, they have half price wines. Any bottle of wine (up to $60) is half price. A nice option if you like wine. The meals are simple. The waiter lets you know the fish that are in season. You then pick how you want it prepared. They have about 8 options listed on the menu. One option consists of black beans with guacamole, mashed potatos, your selected fish, and a little spice. Another option consists of a little salsa, rice, and your fish selection. Salads or baked potatos are extra. The meals are listed at $20-30. Ours were each $27. The food was good, but not a $27 meal. Obviously, you are paying for the ambiance. If you want a good meal combined with a great location, I recommend Dukes in Malibu. If you just want a great meal, there are plenty of great restaurants a short drive away for less money.

Wonderful spot located right on PCH. Parking is easy and the food is good. I had a great halibut dish there. Save room for dessert and have a drink or 2 while you sit and watch the waves roll right on in.

Cool Calamari
By ,
For the first time in my entire life, I tasted calamari, and it was at Duke's Malibu. I was rather apprehensive about trying to eat squid, but I swear I'd never had anything so delicious!

Da Bomb!!!

This place is the best/romantic resturant I've ever been to. The food was awsome, the view was romantic, the service was excellent! It's waaaay better than Moonshadow by far (for the price, food and service). Just make sure to make a reservation, cause the the wait can get pretty hectic for this fabulous resturant.
