Uncle Bill's Pancake House, Manhattan Beach

Love this place! The Potatoes del Riego are the best. The only negative I can come up with is the long waits on weekends. Other than that, A+.

Great food, great staff, and an amazing view as you walk into the place! I had the hash and eggs (with the recommended pancakes). By the time I finished with the eggs, hash patty, and the heavenly potatoes, I was eyeing the plate-sized hotcakes with a bit of reluctance. Don't get me wrong, I still devoured the two fluffy saucers of goodness, but it was a chore to do so. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is that the coffee had a bit of a burned taste to it. Now, I like my coffee strong (almost chunky), but this brew seemed to have been on the burner a bit long. Go early in the morning. I arrived around 7am on a Wednesday and just strolled in.
