Ron! i have the same issue with this people&same guy with glasses old dude,! same day with my whole family to spend memorial day...i hope they educate or even read your disabled placard or look at you with that cane. i know people fake it. but just observing or opening there eyes instead of mouth..i think everything will be fine with us..i know we should report this to ADA to give them lesson, but u are right.. they are ignorant of ADA law. yeah one day they will get law suit. yes Attention Owner or manager read this to educated your staff..http://www.ada.gov/qasrvc.htm
i went to this place with my wife to enjoy memorial day,but really destroyed my day. The very first stop to the parking ticketing, passing trough 6-10 people staff without courtesy of being disabled with my service dog.. very rude, no courtesy in my situation at all, treated me like a criminal faking it and no idea about the law of service dog. asking improper personal question. telling me if i have a vest,ID for my dog and have to wear it before going inside.. ..i told 6-8 people its a service dog.. they could use the radio to dispatch it..or even read the ID ,a big template hanging to the harness saying service dog do not pet..what a day...i can get excited and make this a big issue to report this to ADA Department of Justice.Pls..to the owner or manager educate your staff before u get fine, cited or lawsuit .speacially the old guy incharged tru traffic and vallet.. i m with a disabled placard and a cane .telling me .a lot of faking and taking advantage of it.. just doing his job..is that something..
Don't go here! The food was bad and overpriced. The bathrooms were not clean. There were wasps everywhere. We bought a ton of food and alcohol and got our parking validated. We were five minutes late getting out (there was a long line to get out) and they charged us the $25! The parking attendant was very rude. Do NOT go here. There are plenty of nice places to go in Malibu, don't waste your time here.
Absolutely one of the best casual restaurants that I have been to in a long time. Everyone treated us with the best customer service. I had their veggie burger and it was one of the best that I have ever tasted! Yummy! My only suggestion is have a bigger dinner menu but above all I was fully satisfied and so we our guest. We love the location, it was very beautiful great on first dates! Thanks so much Paradise!
This place is a GEM! It is a gorgeous spot for a restaurant. It is located right on the beach in Malibu, has a pier for viewing or fishing, and is next to a stunning bluff. The trees and red flowers also add to the beauty of this paradise. What was new from the last time I was here was an area of bright turquoise beds on the sand, which you can rent, next to the patio of the restaurant. We rented a bed and ordered our lunch to be delivered to us on the bed. Although the menu is limited when you eat out here, we were pleased. We had a couple waitresses. Each girl was very pleasant, and followed through on everything we asked for. The food was delicious, and was bit pricey for lunch. The experience was one I won't forget. Anyone would be impressed with this place. It is an experience you would find on a tropical vacation. I would give this place 10 stars if I could!
I'm stuck between a 3 and a 4 rating here's why I rounded up:
Can't beat the location for a restaurant. Food quality is decent and selection is good. Think Gladstones with the ability to put your feet in the sand while eating.
Went with a very large group (about 40) which can always test the capabilites and quality of any restaurant. Service was better than average and quality of the food looked and tasted fairly consistent among the group. I tried the Kobe ribs which were decent although I had higher expectations due to the quality of the meat. But again, the view certainly seemed to soften things around the 'bone'.
Overall, good destination joint if you are in the area or want a little bit of an experience as one could have in tropical destinations just keep food expectations in line.
I LOVE this place! There is no other place on the west coast that I am aware of that I can sit with a group of friends at a table IN the sand; be oceanside; have a cocktail and some decent food. A great place to bring friends that are visiting from out of town.
