Paradise Cove Beach Cafe
Paradise Cove Beach Cafe is a delightful treat for visitors and residents of Malibu. Located at the beautiful Paradise Cove Pier, they offer breathtaking views, incredible service, delicious food and a casual atmosphere.
Wait endlessly, while they try and seat all the tour-bus tourists, and then eat some of the most banal and lazily-prepared seafoood imaginable. Great setting, lovely beach and small pier, all the perfect elements...but they turned it into the kind of place you'd stop at on one of those 5 countries in 5 days tours. Awful.
Maybe we just hit a bad night. The iced seafood appetizer was excellent but 3 out of the 4 entrees at our table were over salted or very oily. And the service was abominable. I'll grant the setting is wonderful but you can find a nice spot on the beach somewhere else and not pay so much for a mediocre experience.
We loved this place. The location, the atmosphere, the ambiance, the food, especially the food.
We are recommending this place to others...I found it based on a recommendation.
Everyone should see this place...it's truly what Malibu and California coast dinners are all about!!!
My husband has run many country clubs so I am used to fine dining and great atmosphere. The big plus for this restaurant, on a Thursday evening was the jazz quartet they had playing inside. Very nice but completely contradicted the atmosphere of very mediocre wait staff, children running around everywhere and not very good food. And for the price, the food was really unacceptable. The view is beautiful but there are other places to go for that. Would only possibly return for a cocktail and view. Never again to dine.
If you just want to eat, don't come here. But if you want a special time with your special friend or family, this is your place. Come in, place your order, then grab some peanuts and a drink and hang out at the beautiful beach. If you bring your kids, have them wear shorts and sandals, as they will want to play in the water while your meal is being prepared. Enjoy...
I was visiting my son....I live in Florida and he took me to Paradise Cove.....amazing table with the view of water and bird of paradise plants.....the food was exceptional.....we had the fried shrimp dinners....and quesadillas......beautiful food...and our waiter, Rob L....was great.....we will be back....
