It all began on January 27, 1958. With fifty dollars in the cash register, Del and Helen Johnson opened "Sizzler Family Steak House" in Culver City, California. Dwight D. Eisenhower was in his second term as the 34th President of the United States. A 14-year-old Bobby Fischer took the United States Chess Championship. acoeGigiac won the Academy Award for Best Picture. The American girl group The Shirelles began. And finally, everyone could enjoy a great steak dinner at an affordable price. ($1.19 back then)
I had my doubts about going here but my buddy said it was fast, good, and reasonably priced so we went. To my surprise everything was great. The service was excellent as were all interactions with the staff. The self service salad, food, dessert bar was well stocked and constantly attended to make it feel like you were the first person there. We ordered the burger special which comes with a trip to the salad bar, too many choices for one plate.
You know it's kind of stupid of me but one of my pet peeve's is when your drink goes dry and it takes forever to get a refill well nothing of the kind here. The wait staff here are so attentive that my glass never ran dry and that's not all reorders of garlic toast and fresh plates were there at just the right moment. I'm going back today and I can't wait to try all the stuff I had to pass up last time because I was too full.
