Matsuhisa Restaurant, Beverly Hills

Hell no. This place is worst Japanese restaurant I ever experieced. Sushi is not that fresh, service is terrible, quality of food is not compatible. I wonder why ppl eat there and pay expensive. You can enjoy great sushi at the different place with much less money. This place is not attractive at all. I do not want to go there again......

AWESOME sushi, hands down the best sushi outside of Japan. Chef Nobu is #1 in my book. No sushi chef can compete with this fellow. He invented the Shrimp Tempura roll. Legendary. I hope to visit his restaurant in New York one day. Great homemade beer. Uni shooter with egg. Tartar with caviar. Splurge and get the omakase. Expensive, so be prepared.

Matsuhisa, located in Beverly Hills, has the best sushi bar outside of Japan. Reservations are highly recommended and as a rule of thumb it is also recommended to have more than sufficient funds as this is not your everyday family-type of restaurant!

Seriously, this was so overpriced, plus the fish, which is obviously high quality, is destroyed by sauces that don't belong. A true sushi lover would never like this place....the title says it all!

We went to Matsuhisa to celebrate a very special birthday last night. We all ordered the $80.000 or the $100.00 omakase dinner hoping to enjoy the magical creations that made Matsuhisa or Nobu so special. We were all very disappointed by the uninspiring, simple menu, and below average service that we received. It is very obvious that the

Best sushi I've ever had, however, it was also the most expensive sushi I've ever had. A party of 3, with plenty of Sapporro and plenty of sushi, got out of there for a tad over $600 with a fat tip. Re: Ambiance, it was cool to share deserts and tell Kelly Rowland(s/p?) from Destiny's Child what to order. And see Nick Cage chillin at a table with his intense looking self.

I guess I expected more. If you are a sushi roll fanatic like me, this is not the place to go. I have to admit that the sashimi tastes excellent, but they barely put fish in the rolls, I couldn't believe it!! The pineapple sake it's great, but my advice is get a bottle at the market and add some pineapple juice, which is what they do there, and also $24 a bottle it's overprice. The entrees looked great and I am sure that are excellent, but the sushi, just not good. The place is great, the decoration also, but the whole experience was alright, way to overprice, I tried several sushi places and for less money, you can get better sushi rolls.

Simply an unparalleled dining experience. The food is prepared with the level of care you should expect from such a restaurant (but sadly, does not always occur in LA). You cannot go wrong with this place, and it's worth every penny.

This is not the fancy kind of restaurant you would expect, but food there is incredible. You can have lunch there at a relatively decent pruce (don't judge by the number of Rolls in the parking). Definitely worth a try for every sushi lover. Note that they also have a great chocolate cake desert...
