The Bungalow Club is a dining hot spot with a Moroccan flair in Hollywood. There are many dining areas but the main allure is the private romantic patio cabanas. TV's are in the lounge area and the martini and mojito menu is massive. There is a sushi bar and the main menu is California Asian fusion. Try the juicy orange glazed chicken or the savory royal chicken salad. The Banana Cabana dessert is rich enough for two and is made with an almond tart filled with warm banana strudel and caramel sauce served with vanilla bean ice cream.
I was a guest at a good friend of mine's wedding and all I have to say is that the staff here have absolutely no customer service skills, oh and if you're mexican don't bother going there. The rude bartender said all us Mexicans needed to get the *uck out... it turns out he and another coworker (also his girlfriend) had an argument and the girl walked out... so he was upset over that and let it all out on the wedding guests... not to mention the newlyweds had reserved the entire club until 1am and the owner closed the first floor a little after 10pm and was not allowing anyone to hang out there, she wanted everyone in the second floor only. I had never been to this place and I will never go back.... I can't understand how this place hasn't been sued repeatedly with the owner being so extremely rude and the staff she has working there,,, horrible establishment and horribly ran. I'm just glad my friend was able to still enjoy her big day even with all this going on,,,
I have had dealings with Anat outside her place. She had an ad on craigslist looking for a live in day care person for her child. She does not like gay people. She made that very clear in her emails to me. I could not people she verbalized what she did. so if you are gay...or know someone who is...do not patronize her establishment. I work in the hospitality industry and I understand the attitude of gratitude....she does not have it.
I tried talking to the owner about getting a private room there and asked her questions on the room and cost. She was very rude and had no sense of customer service. I tried to talk down the price just a little and she said I don't need your business I already have plenty customers. I would not recommend dealing with them. Don't go there!
I have to totally agree with Ryan's review. I too dealt with Anat, the owner when I was interested in having a party. She was extremely rude and I will NEVER do business there. I went to meet with her. Over the phone she had stated she could give me a private area, but when I got there, her whole tone changed from a private area to only being able to accomodate me with two tables. She wanted $200 for two tables!!! I was so shocked by her rudeness that I did not even want to go through with it. The place itself has a nice atmosphere. I was upset because I was looking forward to having my 30th birthday there. Anat acted as if she was doing me a favor by meeting me.
I booked a private party there and it was not so private. The owner lied after Paying her the deposit and stayed opened to the public. I could not believe how rude she was. She also gave me half the food I paid for and It was not all that great, just a bunch of fried appetizers and not what was promised.
It was so awful, I will never go to that dump again.
DO not trust the owner her name is Anat.
Just imagine a bunch of strangers at your wife's 35th birthday party eating the food and drinking the drinks you paid for.
I might say I visit this place quite often because it has such nice atmosphere. The service is great; the people are classy, and friendly. The environment is so cozy and delightful yet at the same time so private with intimate setting. What can I say I just LoVe this place!!!
