Langer's Delicatessen & Rstrnt

Description

In this busy downtown neighborhood, people line up daily to enjoy some of the best New York style deli favorites. The decor is pure 60s retro and the eatery attracts many local judges and lawyers. Food here is non-kosher and it sells more pastrami than any other venue in L.A. Tables are scarce, so folks wait patiently for the chance to sit and enjoy the fabulous fare. Curb service is available, and popular as well. Best bets are the egg breakfasts, pastrami or corned beef sandwiches and brisket or lamb shank. A parking lot is available, which is helpful in this busy area. Beer and wine are available.

This place was decent I guess. I've had better in my opinion.

Been coming here for 25 years and #19 is great but recent price increase to $14.45 is too much for me.

Heard about it on 710 ESPN Radio and can't stop going back. The hot pastrami is outstanding (I like the #19) Freeway accessible and CURBSIDE SERVICE! I only wish it was open for dinner!

I do the curbside takeout at a lot of restaurants and this is the only one that has NEVER missed anything on my order. Great service, and the consistent quality is always top notch. The best pastrami place I've been to in the 8 years I've lived in Los Angeles.

Best pastrami I've ever had, and I don't even like pastrami that much!! The calculations for your total, aren't always done correctly, or well for that matter. However, it's definitely worth a extra dollar and get fresh food. It's always packed during lunch, and yes, it's in a ghetto neighborhood, but everyone should know by now: to get good food, you have to go somewhere shady in town... as if you've never been to a hole-in-the-wall place you liked (?).

Probably the oldest kosher style deli in Los Angeles. They close at 4.00pm as all the Yidin moved West !! ;)

Never really heard of Langers, so im guessing its not that great. The best Deli by far that i suggest people frequent would be Busy Bee. Busy Bee is located in San Pedro CA, and has many quality sandwiches found on their menu from pastrami to meatball, and there all for the right price. Be aware to get there before lunch time or else you will be waiting outside.

One of the worst deli's I have been to in LA. You are far better off at Art's on Ventura...I would never spend the money for the food here again. I would rather go to Subway (and I hate Subway) than waste my money on this place. The only advantage is you can buy an illeagle driver's license about 15 feet from the place. Stay away!
