5/11/13 - Worst restaurant ever! I ignored the reviews and thought I d have better luck, but I was wrong. I had reserved a table for twelve 6 weeks but when when my party arrived there only had room for 10. Even though the previous day they had called me and asked if my party was still attending. Then we had to wait for over an hour to be seated. The food was so plain, no flavor, tiny portions, and not one person in my party liked the food. The mariachi show only lasted for 40 minutes. The service was horrible too. The decor here is awful and it looks like this place has seen it s better days. I don t know about everyone else, but when I m paying $25+ per plate I expect at least decent tasting for and good service. This was my first and my last time ever there. Oh and while we waited whilwewe were seated we decided to have a couple of drinks at the bar. Needless to say the service at the bar was awful as well. Keep away from this awful hole in the wall and their awful food and service.

Took my son and wife to dinner there last Sunday because I remember it being so good, many years ago and very authenic! What a disappointment. The food, lousy, luke warm, drinks watered down, over priced for mexican food. Mariachi was so so. No parking, don't waste your time or money!!

JUST WENT HERE ON SATURDAY APRIL 16 2011. I HAD A PARTIALLY GOOD TIME. THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS BUT YET WAY WAY WAYYYYY TO EXPENSIVE FOR THE AMOUNT OF PORTION THEY SERVED US. I HAD A CARNE ASADA PLATE. WHICH WAS LIKE 25 BUXXS AND MY GIRLFRIEND HAD THE SHRIMP A LA DIABLA. WHICH SHE DIDNT REALLY LIKE FOR ANOTHER 28 BUXXS. AND IF IM PAYING SO MUCH I EXPECT TO GET TOP WAITER SERVICE WITCH I REALLY DIDN'T. AS FOR THE MARIACHI THEY WERE REALLY GOOD. I MEAN I HATE MARIACHI BUT THESE GUYS GOT ME SCREAMING AND CLAPPING. I REALLY THINK THAT IF IT WASN'T FOR THEM WE WOULD OF LEFT AND JUST GONE TO IN N OUT INSTEAD. .

I think this place was pretty good. Great taco salad. Great chips and salsa.

Took my mother for her birth day this past weekend and got extremely disappointed with the food. The Restaurant is elegant and expensive, but the food is disgusting. Honestly, it's like paying to go see the mariachi because all the plates were disappointing. Tried different plates and they were all nasty. Not let alone the fact that we were seated in the lobby far away from being able to see the mariachi, which is the whole point of the restaurant. Think three times before going to this restaurant. TRUST ME!

Great place with renewed emphasis on culture and tradition. I don't know about those old ratings, but La Fonda is the Mariachi restaurant to be at. I think it has been around all this time because of it's values.

Singers are super talented. They sang & played too long a set, out of touch with rythum of eating and getting properly waited on. Would have liked 2 sets instead of one overlong one. Food could be much better, didn't finish my meal & got heartburn. Servers not aware of making client happy, need polish. Never offered to refill my glass of water, never offered dessert or coffee. No kids menu but did make something up AFTER I asked. Not sensitive to the disabled people either!!Restroom up steep stairs & I'm just walking after a bad leg injury. Only a railing at one side. Not keeping up with the times!

WOW! went out to their Wednesday night event which was by surprise. It was a Rock N Roll night mixed with the traditional mariachi (which from what i understand that night was not so traditional). Great food, Great Music (Indie, Electro, Alternative), and the Mariachi where all women so Great Mariachi. All in all a great time with a great crowd.
